  1. Today we are seeing a meaningful drop of the baht's value versus USD, GBP, EUR, CNY, etc. Maybe they actually are intervening in the right direction. Really doubt any regular tourist gives a f about even a 10% currency fluctuation. I haven't heard of anyone I know ever checking exchange rates for any trip. But I'm cheap as hell. I usually take one domestic trip per month, and I've put a pause on that until the exchange rate is where I want it to be again. Sorry Thailand, less money for you.
  2. The Thai stock market is also up roughly 15% since it's low in the beginning of August, which was also when this baht tear began.
  3. Hi all, My question is, am I forced to use the non-immigrant o visa if I want to stay in Thailand with a Thai spouse, or am I free to stay here with the visa of my choice (assuming I am eligible to obtain it)? For example, can I get married to a Thai, leave Thailand, obtain a DTV or Privilege in my home country, return to Thailand, and just go about my normal life with my wife? Is there anything against the law about that? My search terms just yield generic results like "you can stay in Thailand with your spouse by obtaining a non-immigrant o visa." (I don't think it matters, but in case it does, my wife to be has Korean citizenship in addition to Thai.)
