  1. After an incredible first half with McGregor hitting the post, Abada being put through on goal by a perfect ball from Jota and then Maeda fluffing a sitter the lads from Madrid turned on the style and put three by us. It was an intense match to watch. I'm so glad I got up in the wee hours for it. Celtic did us proud and they weren't out-classed as many seemed to think so before the game. The first 50 minutes must have given the Real fans a bit of a scare. We had a 15 minute spell then where we seemed to take our foot of the gas and they took control with two quick goals. Their third goal was incredible; Hazard getting on to a cross that the Real players had been passing around for ages! Ange has us playing a wonderful, quick style of football now that is a joy to watch!
  2. Superb stuff. What an amazing start to the season. Now let's see what these Bhoys can do in the wee hours of tomorrow morning. My alarm is set. Wouldn't miss it for the world.
  3. We are looking good. Really good. Our second-string "B" team could top the SPFL easily, too. That's nine players Ange has brought in during this window. Have to agree that it's the best looking selection of players in a long time. Looking forward to Saturday now. Evening kick off. Perfect!
  4. All this article tells me is that he'll be out of the country for 5 more years. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, .....
  5. "Bunlert built a house on the land seven years ago as it provided shade . . ." which is exactly what one wants when one lives in a giant, red mushroom! ????
  6. "Tomato flu not yet in Thailand ...." ... but it will probably ketch up! ????
  7. "She called an ambulance and her younger sister." Handles two knives and two phones rather well it seems.
  8. What a game. 9-0. The finest team performance in donkey's years. Jota was outstanding. Everyone put in an excellent day's work. And with the next few games coming up this is perfect timing to be at our best. Dundee United did try in the first half, but their recent run of form continued after the break. I don't think there were any United fans left in the stadium after the hour mark!
  9. He's got a mountain to move there.
  10. Group stage draw puts us in Group F and looks like this: Real Madrid Leipzig Shakhtar Celtic Reigning champions Real! We don't like to do things easy! Shakhtar (Ukranian) will be the easiest going on past experience. Leipzig (German) currently playing below par in the Bundesliga. First game will be in early September.
  11. So after three years in the monkhood he "defrocked himself", fell off the wagon and had a wee snort or two! And there's me thinking that all monks are boring spongers. At least this one saw the light . . . . ????
  12. Bring this idea to the provinces where it is much needed. 126,117 skid lids dished out to kids who are travelling a greater distance at greater speed makes more sense to me.
  13. He killed the mum and dad in front of their little kid and then gets bail. What a world country we live in!
  14. "Police have smashed a major drug trafficking gang .." They "smashed" themselves? ????
  15. Mutton dressed as lamb. At nearly 40 she should call it a day.
  16. Died doing what he loved, I fancy. Croaking it on the golf course will do me. RIP "old" fella.
  17. "Locals want compensation for the damage to their livelihoods." A few words to express sorrow for the drowned baby elephant first would have been nice. Then again, these lovely locals could well of had a hand in the "drowning," methinks.
  18. "He said he'd rather leave the investigation to the police than speculate." Finally, a bit of common sense! Hope it's catching . . . ????
  19. My goodness! There are "hookahs" in Pattaya! Are they freelance?
  20. Countless young kids dead and our hosts dig up this kind of nonsense just days after the event. I am glad I chose to live here and wasn't born into a society that thinks along these lines.
  21. I wonder if "Long Joo Somchai" has a wife named "Huge Hoy Somsri?" ????
  22. "ASEAN NOW suggests that the buyer was trying to get something on the cheap." That's a rather smug comment. A father tries to get his son a phone at a bargain price and is stung in the process. Something we have all tried to do at some time to help our kids. Poor bloke. I feel for him. Certainly don't feel the need to mock him.
