‘Russian-only’ businesses in Thailand’s Phuket spark backlash
Father of Godfahter replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
And this one was my personal report. Yes, they keep operating, have checked it for several times already. -
correct me if I am wrong: 1. passport 2. filled embassy form+ 2 photos 3. the queue number 4. bank statement of yours showing the movements on it for the last 3 months (any bank statement) 5. An onward ticket from Thailand back to where you came from (or a booking of such a ticket). 6. hotel booking in Thailand (for what period minimum?) Is something missing on my list?

Is Jomtien Immigration
Father of Godfahter posted a topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Is Jomtien immigration open this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (31.07, 1.08 and 2.08)? There are religious holidays on some of these dates. -
Any advice appreciated

Dr Jack, I have another question for you. I left Thailand (where I lived for 3 years at one and the same location registered with the Jomtien immigration) 6 months ago. Now I came back. Can I now use my old address registration (as if I am still living there) and to avoid all the new address procedure registration or there is no choice but to register a new address with the Immigration?

You can find my story and background in the other thread of mine in this section of the forum (“the meaning of the stamp”). I am in my late forties. The officials were quite aggressive in the beginning (as much as Thai people can be aggressive). The entry denial stamp I got back in December on the Cambodian border was the real reason for my troubles. Luckily, boss-woman turned out to be a positive person at the end which definitely decided my case. I presented the money, onward ticket and hotel booking which eventually satisfied her. She told me to get a visa next time.

Well, I finally I have succeeded to make it through Nongkhai immigration. No visa from the the Thai embassy was used. Some humiliating procedures later (like multiple photos of myself with the dollar banknotes in my hands) and voila - I am back to the land of 45 degrees weather. Now, I have also presented an onward ticket back to my country on the 6 of June. The stamp which I was given is exactly until that day. And the stamp does not look like a normal visa free entry stamp to me. Here I post it and want to know if I will be able to prolong it for one more additional month at the immigration?

Several years on a Covid visa - that's the main reason for my immigration troubles. They used the nonsense about "insufficient funds" as a formal reason, nothing more. By the way, I was wearing a Brioni suit and a shiny gold Rolex on my wrist. You can imagine the impression I made with my appearance on the residents of the Thai-Cambodian backwater.

The girls and their families whom I sponsored during my time in Thailand have a much different opinion of my financial capabilities. Some of these individuals have expressed a strong desire for me to return to Thailand. Their sentiments hold much greater weight for me than the opinion of a third-tier immigration clerk let alone that of some anonymous forum user.

I am currently concerned about what would happen if I am denied entry again upon arriving at Suvarnabhumi airport. I would like to know if there is a chance that the Thai authorities will require me to purchase a ticket back to my country of origin, Israel, instead of allowing me to travel to Laos or Cambodia. I would like to avoid any potential unpleasant and expensive experiences, so any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was warned that I would not be allowed to re-enter Thailand, and that my only option was to leave through the Bangkok airport. Despite this warning, I insisted on leaving right there. However, when I attempted to re-enter Thailand through another Cambodian land border three days later, I was denied entry. It's worth noting that my previous history includes a couple of years staying in Thailand on Covid visas.
