We recently had a case where the passport office withdrew the application and incorrectly advised that the applicant needed to apply from their country of residence — which, in this instance, was Thailand. The application was submitted in Thailand, as required, so the withdrawal was clearly an error on their part. They are now offering a refund in recognition of the mistake. This highlights the ongoing issues we're experiencing since the transition from Liverpool to Corby, particularly regarding their lack of familiarity with Thai documents and address formats.
