I come from Udon Thani, it's a day trip by air to get something I can get free in Australia and have the privilege to pay 900 baht. Now I must make an appointment to get to a place no taxi driver knows. (because the embassy seems to be down a back alley).
The last trip I took, took 2 hours and 2 taxi's from Don Muang, the first taxi gave up on finding the embassy although I had the address written in Thai, the second had to ask a motor-cycle taxi for directions.
Now I must try to beat the clock (appointment). I guess they are so busy in the embassy although I'm usually the only person there.
I.m not impressed with this lack of service and definitely not impressed with the new 'Fortress Australia'

Like said different rules everywhere. But in general You need to be married to get a yellow book (tabien Baan) and you need to have a yellow book if any chance to get a pink ID-card for foreigners...
So start with the yellow book, and when that is finished then you can apply for a ID card...
Glegolo
You do not have to be married to get a tabien baan.

Scombroid food poisoning is a foodborne illness that results from eating spoiled (decayed) fish.[1] Along with ciguatera, it is listed as a common type of seafood poisoning.[2]
However, it is often missed because it resembles an allergic reaction. It is most commonly reported with mackerel, tuna, bluefish, mahi-mahi, bonito, sardines, anchovies, and related species of fish that were inadequately refrigerated or preserved after being caught. The syndrome derived its name because early descriptions of the illness noted an association with Scombroidea fish (e.g., large dark meat marine tuna, albacore, mackerel); however, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have identified other, nonscombroid vectors, such as mahi-mahi and amberjack. Scombroid syndrome can result from inappropriate handling of fish during storage or processing. One of the toxic agents implicated in scombroid poisoning is histidine, which is broken down into histamine. Other chemicals have been found in decaying fish flesh, but their association with scombroid fish poisoning has not been clearly established.

closest i can see is "Histamine is not destroyed by normal cooking temperatures, so even properly cooked fish can be affected"
havent yet determined that the temperatures, pressures and anaerobic conditions associated with canning will leave the histamine unscathed. if you got a link post it.

Prachuap Khiri Khan was home to the Royal Thai Air Force's Fifth Wing, under the command of Wing Commander Mom Luang Prawat Chumsai. The Japanese 2nd Infantry Battalion of the 143rd Infantry Regiment under Major Kisoyoshi Utsunomiya landed at 03:00 from one troopship, and occupied the town after having crushed police resistance there.
Further landings took place near the airfield to the south. The Japanese laid siege to the airfield, but the Thai airmen along with Prachuap Khirikhan Provincial Police managed to hold out until noon on the next day, when they too received the ceasefire order. The Japanese lost 115 dead according to Japanese estimates,[24] and 217 dead and 300+ wounded according to Thai estimates. The Thais lost 37 dead and 27 wounded.[30]
