i find it hard if not impossible to compare players from different eras because the equipement used, the level of fitness of the players and the speed the game is played at, make it impossible to make comparisons.

but anyway i would say Federer and Steffi Graf as the best male and female.

i actualy thought i had TB as had been coughing up bright green mucas for over a week, but put it down to my excessive smoking combined with a cold, however Sunday and Monday night i had basicaly no sleep due to not being able to breathe when lying down, then having a serious coughing fit to clear my throat, then gasping for air again. Anyway was reading this thread yesterday and then did a bit of my own research on TB and thought <deleted> these are the symptoms i have, so dragged my sorry ass down to PIH about 5pm yesterday had a chest x-ray and thankfully just bad brochitus (spelling), they pumped some anti-biotics into me and your usual 4 types of different tablets they give you and had a good nights sleep last night, while still coughing at least i can breathe now and have not had a ciggy since sunday. While my brochitus is still bad and painful, it still feels like i've won the lottery when i was seriously expecting to have been diagnosed with TB yesterday.

Nana PO, strangely enough located near Nana BTS station, its on the suk road about 20 meters before you turn into Soi 4.

Ban Chang is about 30-40 minute drive from Pattaya, the beach there is a lot nicer than Pattaya, one strip of about 20-25 bars of which there are about 3 where you could take your wife in. In terms of quality some of the bars there make soi 6 look like the ritz.

I went to Tuk Com today, and on the ground floor the DVD store Scorpion or 'Manpong' in Thai, (I think), is offering a good selection of original DVD's at 99 baht with a buy one get one free offer.

So that's 49.5 Baht for an original good quality DVD.

The story is, Chris who owns/has been running it (into the ground) for the last few years is skint and has gone back to England to try and get some more money, but when he left, he left the staff with no money and he is also quite a few months behind on his rent, so basicaly the staff shut it and another partner padlocked the door. If Chris doesn't come up with some money very quickly he will have lost it, but seeing as he has single handedly run down what was in my opinion 3-4 years ago the best bar in the world, i don't have a lot of sympathy for him.

You can't run a brothel with no girls, he does nothing to promote the bar unlike Bill and Darren before him who were out and about every night, also he was shutting the bar between 5 and 6 every afternoon, bit hard to survive on only 5 or 6 hours trade a day.

maybe somebody approached him with an "offer regarding protection money" and he just didn't want to deal with it.

Gentlemen it's nice to hear all your thoughts, but you have all 'missed' the main point---which is that the new Jomtien 2nd road will eventually go right thru the short time rooms. That whole area of shophouses will be completely demolished. So I don't think any expat (even an Englishman) will be silly enuff to put more money into a new highway.

A friend of mine has a thai girlfriend who is here on a 5 year student visa he wishes to marry her i have informed him i doubt this can be done i believe this is correct any feedback would help.

if the uk no problem, just go and get married, any registary office will tell you what documents are required. if you are in the uk, doesn't matter what visa you have or don't have, no legal requirement for getting married.
