I won't have a choice on that front unfortunately. I dont know any decent framers locally either. I went to a few places to ask about archival framing. I may as well have been a Martian asking for directions home. Do you know any good places? In fact this is a big concern for me really and think that a lot of the collection will be sold off due to AC, humidity, sunshine, monsoons etc etc . A real shame!

Thanks. Ive used a lot of these sites already. A lot of them look very unsafe and dodgy if Im honest. I have also read through pages of Thai customs info and found nothing in the way of a percentage like most countries have. Where are these sites getting their info. from because it differs across the board? Why is nothing ever straight forward when it comes to this stuff here?!

No. I am not working nor have any business here. As Ive said already the property was not eligible for CGT! So, I have no idea where you're getting that idea from.

Tax relief? You dont pay CGT on sale of your own home when its just that and not buy to let, business etc.

Thanks. What about money from a property sale in UK for example? If those funds were transferred to a thai bank. Would the same apply? So its only charged on the interest? That's just silly. I know rates are at there lowest in years but that sounds like its hardly worth it.

Right. Just, 15% on interest doesn't sound right to me. Negligible at best!

Just registered for the DLT e-learning and its all in Thai - just looks like a renewal page or something. No videos or modules etc. Think I will just have to go back in next week. Took ages to get there as well. Another day wasted probably were they'll tell me something different. Upside - Wifes getting hers through driving school (as theres a 3 month wait) so should have my very own chauffeur soon anyway. -
