  1. Gotta say I appreciate the sense of humor xD
  2. Guys, Stop asking questions on information that is not covered in the topic I wrote. It is extensive, all the information I have and that is needed. I have nothing else to share. I see people asking if I need insurance for example. If you need to apply for a Thai pass of course you need insurance. The 2000B price to get into Laos is what was asked of me and a second guy wo arrived at the same time as me. He was of a different nationality, from a different continent. Read the post twice if you are unsure about something and figure it out.
  3. They got buses and minivans. Unsure if you will still have transport at that time.
  4. I have local insurance. I asked the immigration office before leaving the country if I would need the pass and she confirmed that is still the case.
  5. I had an extension before as well. but alas, my wife was out of the country at the time I had to go for the next extension. Immigration told me she needs to be present.
  6. Just a copy was needed as stated on the website. But her passport was even expired. Nothing was made out of it. I can even imagine that in cases where your spouse has no passport due to never having left the country that would be ok as well.
  7. Hey all, I just completed a visa run to Savannakhet for a non O based on Marriage on the 14th of June. I flew from Bangkok to Ubon, bus to Mukhdahan, bus to Laos and vica versa. Things needed to enter Laos: * Passport * One picture * Immigration form (can just get it there) * Proof of vaccination * 2000B Things needed to apply for the Visa: * Passport and a copy * 2 Passport pictures * Visa application form (across the street of the embassy for 10B) * Original and copy of marriage certificate. (They take a look at the original on the spot and hand it back) * Copy of spouse's ID * Copy of spouse's Passport (hers was expired but nothing was Mentioned of it) * Copy of house registration with spouse's name on it * 5000B multiple entry (the form does not have the option. I wrote multiple entry in pen next to the visa type option, mentioned it to the officer and handed over 5000B) That's it. I had 400K in the bank and brought a bank statement with me to be sure. But to try it out I didn't mentioned anything of it and they never asked. Things needed to get back into Thailand: * Passport + visa * Covid vaccination proof * Thai pass (mine got approved in 2 hours time) That's about it. Nothing at all to do in Savannakhet. I stayed in the B2 hotel. Newly opened, very good price and friendly owner. Can highly recommend. They forgot to give me a receipt when I handed over my passport and the payment. My dumbass didn't notice until much later. I was somewhere in the front of the line on the day when I went to pick up my passport. Mentioned I did not get a receipt and handed over my Thai driving license as ID. I just had to wait for the whole line of people picking up their visa before they called me and gave me mine. The receipt for 5000B was in the passport :). On the day when I went to submit my application there was a guy in front of me having a problem with his application. I overheard only parts. But it had something to do with not having a flight ticket to leave Thailand. I overheard him saying that he has been in Thailand for long and that he's not planning to leave. He was probably on covid extensions before this or something and now applying for a tourist visa. He had to come back later with a plane ticket :). Don't try to beat the system... Hope this might help someone.
