From kawa as per recommendations ????????

I did have weird coolant issues like 6 months before nothing now. Had various weird issues since I've owned it but only once or twice. Guess it's a ghost bike so to speak... I'm not mechanically inclined as you might have guessed so I'm not sure what kawasaki meant by the numbers but they said no problem. I've had oil leaks before but we changed all the gaskets and no more "external leaks" anymore at least. Bike runs fine without any wierd sounds in general. Only slight problem is it's harder to start when hot. Old battery died on me. Bought new one. Much better but still harder to start than cold. But it seems to drink oil.

If a. Compression tests turn up normal there's still chance for a leak down test to show abnormalities? I've documented current oil levels and will keep a close check the next few weeks.

Edit no issues with the ECU Also I forgot to mention. When I accelerate then come of the gas abruptly I always hear on singular clicking mechanical sound coming from the engine. Would that be the valves? And I also have a lot of back fire pops when coming of the gas after accelerating hard. I think previous owner removed the exhaust backplate and something else but I'm not sure if the sound is due to a overly lean fuel mixture of if it's due to the previous owner tinkering with the exhaust to make it sound louder

Compression test within spec. 1295-1948. Should I ask them to check the Ecu or something else? Otherwise I'll just replace the spark plugs and change oil and keep a close look at oil levels for the next few weeks.

Coolant haven't been an issue for a long time. Just a lot of weird things have happened but only once or twice to then never happen again. I'll def just do the minimum this time if the compression comes up all good because the bike runs perfect otherwise.

I checked daily and seem fined. Didn't top up though and didn't know that was needed on longer trips tbh.

Yes I've been having high oil consumption for a while. It was leaking oil so changed a few gaskets. Stopped leaking externally. But still seems like it's consuming a lot of oil. Last top up probably around 3 months ago. Checked the bike before leaving for my trip. Did around 130-1500 km over 5 days. All in all since last top up maybe 2000 km? Maybe a bit more. Give or take. Returned home after 5 days and suddenly oil very low again. So kawasaki saying it's probably worn piston rings or something and wants to open up the engine.

Got a call now and they said spark plugs need to be changed 500 baht x2. Are there cheaper sparks plugs I could buy online? Also spark plug gaskets. I'm trying to ask them for the leak down test. They're saying they can do compression but doesn't seem to understand when I'm talking about the leak down test. They just say they have to split the engine to see what's causing the high oil consumption. It's a bit confusing as his English is decent but not always enough to really understand.

I'll see if I can get the codes from them. They just called me and said as for the noise it was the radiator/fan that was loose? So they will tighten it. They'll do a compression test. High oil consumption they say is most likely due to worn piston rings. They didn't mention anything about the difficulty starting when hot and other things though. Couldn't it be anything from worn pistons rings to a blownheadgasket to misaligned valves? What else should I ask them?

ABS came on at the end of a 100 km ride just before I arrived home. Then what I mentioned earlier happened. I've had weird issues with the bike before that never happened again afterwards. But will take it to kawasaki tmrw.

No no. I pulled up into my condo abs turned on. Turned the bike off. Really loud sound that kept going for 30 seconds like something mechanical broke. Wouldn't start. Starter sounded funny. Waited an hour. It turned on no problem. Put in in gear and rode 50m but oil lamp didn't turn off so turned of the bike and walked it back. Checked oil which is low but can still see it in the oil meter so turned the bike on again and now no oil light and it starts fine. No wierd sounds.

I know that. It's just that at first ABS turned on. Weird sound. Wouldn't start. Waited for it to cool down. Tried starting it and it started no problem. Put it in gear and low oil lamp was on. So turned it off. Now that I turn it on oil lamp doesn't go on. So there's something going on with the electrics and something else for sure. But kawasaki tomorrow. Won't drive it there. Will ask for pick up.

Checked oil now because when driving the oil lamp ignites. The ABS doesn't ignite anymore. Maybe there's an Ecu issue + still some oil leak somewhere?

Yupp. Going there on Monday yet again. Think I'm their number one customer by now...

And I checked the oil. But will double check again. But in general it seems like all the problems I've had usually happens after longer rides and if I let the bike cool down it's all normal again. For example after riding for 1h. If I turn the bike off I gotta give it gas to start. When it's cold it always starts up super easy.

I had the bike checked before the trip and everything was OK. And ofc I checked it during the trip. And if you check my previous posts it did leak oil before but we've replaced the leaking gaskets. Also coolant is only twice with the first time being kawasaki putting in too much so it came out of the hose. But the bike has been having random "hickups" that happens once and never again. Which is strange. Otherwise runs perfectly except a bit hard to start when very hot.

Huh weird. Just tried starting it and it started perfectly. Will ride it tmrw to see it ABS is flashing or not. Should I still take it to kawasaki for them to check it? It's been doing some weird stuff sometimes Oil lamp goes on when breaking hard is that normal? Also sometimes the engine temp light goes on but always goes off if I turn it on and off. Spat out coolant a few times too. And now this.

Battery is working. I have one of those volt meters on the bike. But I'll update on Monday. Thanks.
