  1. 16k would be the right price for this set. The listing I linked to has a 100% seller rating, but no ratings for shipping or chat. When you look at identical listings, they have good ratings for chat and shipping as well.
  2. All the listings I started this thread about are from Thailand based sellers. This is not a mistake, because if you look at the listing, it shows 230 baht down from 302 baht
  3. Obviously I'm not going to place an order, and neither will I for the 300 baht Dahua camera, but I'm sure there will be dumbo's who do. My point is that if Lazada respects their customers, they should have a system in place that automatically flags such listings. The truth is that they don't care. I have in the past reported some obvious scams, like for example a seller who has hundreds of positive reviews for a specific article, made by only a handful of "buyers". But although Lazada told me they would investigate, the same listing is still there months later. This tells me that they, even when they are informed, they still don't care, which in return makes it obvious to me that they are involved in some way.
  4. From 8 different sellers, all at that price. I see another seller selling a Dahua camera, valued at 2800 baht everywhere, for 300 baht. Lazada should have an algorithm in place that automatically flags unrealistic priced listings, otherwise they do not care about their customers.
  5. Just found this listing on Lazada. In fact it is actually available from at least 8 different sellers at the same price, and it raises no flags in the Lazada system. Or maybe they endorse it???????? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/wowww-dahua-8-2-dh-xvr4108hs-i1-dahua-hdcvi-hac-b2a218-hdd2tb1-wifi-i4002062082-s15534405545.html?
  6. HDD seems to be dead. Doesn't show up in disk management either, not with the sata>usb adapter nor connected directly to the MB
  7. I recall reading from day one that a license would be needed to sell, which is nothing more than normal, but of course as always in Thailand, laws apply only to the others.
  8. I only have 1 sata>usb adapter, so can't plug in 2 drives. What I mean is that on each drive all files that were on the server are indexed, while the actual files are spread over several disks. So I can find them, by exploring each disk file by file. I use the same sata>usb adapter with the same cables for each disk. As soon as I plug in the USB, the disks shows up in 'my computer', only one doesn't. I'm using Windows 7. I haven't checked in disk management, but if the disk shows there, I assume I will have to format it anyway, and my intention is to copy the data over.
  9. Got myself such a Sata to Usb adapter and have managed to recover part of the data. With drive extender, I think files are spread over all HDD in the server, which mean I can see all content on every HDD, but the files are not always there. I have one disk, which connects to the PC, as I hear the sound when I plug in the USB, and Windows installs the drivers for the HDD, but my computer doesn't see the drive. Any suggestions on that? Another question is, those adapters are hot plug capable. Why can't I hot plug the disk in the PC?
  10. Yeah I heard people fall asleep from smoking dope, while when drunk all they want is sex. Probably main reason why she don't want you stop smoking ????
  11. I feel for you. Send me your number and I will call you next time.
  12. Krungsri has one of the worst exchange rates of all Thai banks. You can compare with this one from Kasikorn, but better would be to download the Super Rich app to your phone. You will get the exact rate posted in those, but I'm sure you know that notes will pay a different rate than telex transfers https://www.kasikornbank.com/en/Rate/Pages/Foreign-Exchange.aspx
  13. You as a foreigner can buy any of the buildings posted in this thread, if you wanted to, so that is a very flawed argument
  14. I haven't been in Europe since Covid started, but I assume it will not be much different there. Maybe someone who has been recently can update on that?
  15. Thailand has not handled anything. ALL East Asian countries have been mildly affected compared to Europe. Millions of Chinese from Wuhan were in Thailand when the covid infection was in full rage, and he refused to close the borders for another 3 months. So there must be other reasons why East Asian countries, and China, have been lesser affected. I can think of one.
  16. In other news : Research on how to create pandemics to prevent over population has continued for 2 decades. Looks like that department is a step ahead
  17. So you think insurance will pay for a 30.000 baht gold chain without seeing a legit receipt of purchase? Probably because they can afford the gold chains, and you are jealous because you don't have it. You live so long in Thailand, and you don't know how the 24K gold chains are locked, and how weak that lock is?
  18. If that isn't a good result. 27 out of 19 people tested are negative.
  19. It even gets more boring that each time it happens, the pensioners with no baht to their name, accuse the victim of being a scammer, and without evidence claim the gold chain was insured. You really think it is so easy to insure a gold chain?
  20. I believe lawyers In the blue book (tabien baan) only foreigners with official recidency in Thailand can be registered in a blue house book. Read more in the reference link below. In case of a foreign owner this book is usually empty. https://www.thailandlawonline.com/63-buying-a-condominium/54-condominium-house-blue-book-and-yellow-book
  21. After living here so many years, you should know that in every government office, the one behind the desk makes up his own rules and laws on the spot. The OP is a good example of that. Some DLT offices don't accept yellow book or pink card as proof of address, although we all know that it is actually the ultimate proof of address. To obtain a yellow book, again in every Amphur the official responsible for issuing the yellow book makes up his own rules. Normally a certificate of residence is required, some even request that it only can be issued by your embassy, then has to be officially translated, and then verified by the Ministry of internal affairs. Of course your mileage may vary, Me for example got my yellow book without any documents other than a copy of my passport, translated by a translation office in soi post office. No witnesses or whatever. The previous day I still needed the whole everything, including verification by the ministry of internal affairs and witnesses
  22. A foreigner can't be in a blue book. Someone is telling porkies
  23. It is so long ago that I don't remember details, but I believe drive extender was used
