  1. Yes I always tell them I buy all the parts, and although I had no idea how long it actually would take to complete, I knew that 6000 was way too much, even if it would take a full day. I had 3 plumbers quote, and their prices varied between 4000 and 6000 baht. I paid the labourer 1600 baht for a full day, and he completed the job including reinstall new tiles before midday. The rest of the day he did some other small jobs. Unfortunately he's not available at the moment.
  2. May I ask why you suggest acetone, since the tap wasn't glued in, since I installed this one myself only a few years ago? Will any of the methods you suggest preserve the plastic thread? What would be an estimated time that I should use a 2000 watt heat gun?
  3. Where did I say that I expected 300 - 400 - 500b for the day? I said that 6000 baht for what turned out to be a 2.5 hour job is a rip-off. Maybe you would agree with that price?
  4. Major crypto lender Celsius files for bankruptcy Celsius said in a statement it was not requesting authority to allow customer withdrawals, adding it had asked the court to allow it to continue operations such as paying employees. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/crypto-lender-celsius-files-bankruptcy-002541027.html Another fraudulent company which until last week still claimed it would NOT file for bankruptcy
  5. That is also my idea, though doing a job like that while laying on your back under the sink is not really handy. Also destroying a wall I'm good at, rebuilding it is another thing, that why I would like to find someone who can do it for me. I had a similar issue in a bathroom a few years ago, and asked a few plumbers, who quoted between 4 and 6000 baht. The job took 2.5 hours to complete, by a labourer who is not available at the moment
  6. As the title says, I'm looking for a handy man who can complete a few small jobs in the house at a reasonable price. One of those jobs will be fixing a broken water pipe in the wall. To be precise, I'm looking for someone who charges per day, not one who quotes 6000 baht for a 2 hour job. I'm East of Pattaya
  7. The thread is plastic
  8. I really don't understand what more you can see from a picture, other than what I have described, but here you go. What you mean with the 2 parts being PVC? Obviously the tab is some kind of <deleted> metal, screwed into blue pipe, but I don't know if the thread in the blue pipe is brass or PVC. Another extractor I have is this one, should that be a better option? The pictures is the tap under the kitchen sink, but I will have others that will look identical, and which I may want to seal off. Is there a way to seal a hole like in the picture below, with still part of the tap inside?
  9. So while I'm waiting for the heat gun I will also remove the tap in the guest toilet, but I expect the same result as in the kitchen. So if that is the case, I plan to remove that sink, and attempt to seal the hole. Any ideas on how to permanently seal a pipe with still a part of the tap inside?
  10. I have ordered a heat gun from Lazada, and have this kind of pipe extractors. Should I insert the extractor as far as possible, then heat up the whole thing, or should I heat up before inserting the extractor. As I said, the tap broke off at the tile, and the pipe is also flush with the tile. I can't see if it has plastic or copper thread.
  11. My best guess was just reading the OP. ASEAN NOW notes that Suthisan police station is in downtown Bangkok and the main thoroughfare of Rachada Phisek runs through it.

  13. I'm in a lot of pain today. The tap under the kitchen sink started leaking, because of the corrosion. Tried to remove it, but of course it broke. I have the extractors, but this cause it to break right at the tile. Now even with extractor it won't move a mm. This is one I have installed myself just a few years ago, and I'm sure I didn't use glue on the Teflon tape. Any other suggestions?
  14. This thread is about SPAM CALLS, because scam call are not made through automated PBX machines, as they can't talk and answer questions the recipient has.
  15. I understand that you have made your profession of arguing and refuting every single post on this forum, You better had practised some reading skill though, as you are clearly lacking them. Where did I suggest I had answered 100 spam calls?
  16. Really, they now have temperature records for millions of years?
  17. I don't think there is any law for that, as long as you can prove you gifted the money to your kid.
  18. Buy it in your kids name. Your wife will have control over the property until your kids are 18 years old, but she can't make any decisions that are against the kids interests. She can never sell or impound the property without a court agreement.
  19. Yes, and you also don't risk a virus, unless you download something. So if I get a call, I answer it, and as soon as I hear a voice message, I hang up and block the number and report as spam.
  20. As if those spam calls don't come from local numbers. Maybe 1% of the spam calls I receive have an international prefix

  23. Until recently, Switzerland as the only country where assisted suicide was legal. There were I think 4 organisations (clinics), where you could go to. Price was around 10K Euro. Last I heard is that it has changed, and that now 2 doctors have to certify that you are suffering from a health condition that can not be cured.
  24. It should be everyone's right of freedom, something like the first amendment that Americans are so proud of. If your health condition doesn't allow you a certain quality of life, why shouldn't you have the right to choose to leave? You' aren't a burden on anyone leaving by euthanasia, but since you don't get that option, suicide is the only way out. I had a friend pass away recently. For the last month he was kinda vegetable, waiting in his bed for the grim reaper to come pick him up. I really felt for him during that month, that he was forced to suffer, because government don't allow people the right to a quality life.
