  2. An advice to the Thais commenting on Facebook.

You should be more concerned and examine your culture and habits before being so upset about 2 naked people.

Look into the domestic violence, rape of minors, abandonment of children and families and other wrongdoings, happening daily in your country and then start worrying about this.

    Hypocrisy, comes to my mind.

Outrageously moot point you make. The things that you mention plague every society. By your logic this means that people are hypocrytical to object to events that they find offensive because there are faults in their society. I think that the complaints are sanctinonious BS but your response is a cheap and dirty non sequitur.
  3. "Kaew Yunyong, a Facebook user, said had the man done it in Singapore, he would have been caned and jailed for seven days."

Yeah Kaew. You can find brutal and cruel laws in many places. So what? You support them then? How about women being beheaded for getting rapped? Somewhere that happens too. Dumb observation. No point made.

  4. Now I feel very lucky to be free, not kicked out from Thailand, and I will never smoke again.

So...... you could have avoided all these hassles by not breaking a law that you 100% knew about when you came to live in Thailand.

(I'm not saying that this law is a good law, only that you knew about it and knew the consequences of breaking that law).

What a bunch of BS. Just don't break the law eh? Like don't pay for sex. Don't purchase beer from a willing mini mart during off hours or banned dates. Beeee-Essss!!!!! Wish that I got along with reefer. It does a lot less damage than the booze. Whoever made trouble for this guy with the cops should have his sacks pulled up over his nose!!!
  5. Yes the walking ATM whining is dumb but you are wrong about what to expect. Initial attraction anywhere is practically always for "wrong reasons" (looks, money, etc). But one has every right to expect the relationship to become something more if they are going to make a longer term commitment to another person.

  6. Thailand finally realized that 'dummies' are more capable and motivated than the BIB. Oh, and smarter too! Certainly says a lot about law enforcement in Thailand. thumbsup.gif

:cheesy: I knew it!!! :cheesy: No time at all- Right on the very first post some wizard of wit making a 'dummy' pun back on the cops! But hey, deep thinking there fellah- Must've taken hours for you to come up with the idea :cheesy: Oh yeah and "Certainly says a lot about law enforcememt in Thailand." It says that the police here use technology to assist them just as virtually every other police force on the planet! Ooh I am tempted to use the 'D' word here :P
  7. -The rice chaff needs to removed to be able to cultivate the next crop. What is the PM going to do? Tell people just to make do without growing rice. Perhaps he can wave his hand over the fields and make all of the chaff float off into space.

No... it doesn't. Everything can be plowed back into the soil as 'green fertilizer. If it's done right after the harvest there will be plenty of time for biological decomposition to occur, freeing up the nutrients in it to be available for the next season's crop.

Unfortunately, that takes work. It's hard to plow a dry field using a water buffalo as power. It's easier to just burn the stuff.

I read up on this and the procedure that you mention should have been covered under the context if it can be applied to rice crops. Am curious to know your reference. If what you say is true though it is still likely not a feasable solution and our righteous original poster is still a jerk.
  8. This is a great topic, the OP is right in everything he says, I have already said in previous posts, and will keep on saying it, that Thailand will always be a third world country because of the low mentality of the Thai people from the farmers to the well educated, to the government.

This would be a great country if it was just possible to get the Thai IQ up to that of the top western countries, if that happened, then Thailand would be way ahead of the UK, the USA etc.

The OP substitutes his whim and speculation for scientific fact in some cases and he is generally an unknowledgeable and a sanctimonious jerk.

And you earn the dumb post of the month for, "This would be a great country if it was just possible to get the Thai IQ up to that of the top western countries..." Your arrogance, conceit, the revolting peremptoriness of your statement are untenable.

  9. -Planes have the technology to navigate through fog and clouds but not chaff smoke so it is going to cause a crash eh? I did not realize that chaff smoke blocked radio telemetry.

-Cancer from rice smoke. I don't believe you. It is a theory without substantiation.

-The rice chaff needs to removed to be able to cultivate the next crop. What is the PM going to do? Tell people just to make do without growing rice. Perhaps he can wave his hand over the fields and make all of the chaff float off into space.

It is so easy for some righteous joker to say what to do and leave out a viable way to get there.

  10. Won't Happen. High speed rail for Tourists ?, they really are talking out of their arse

i think they may be trying to distract people From the Nong Khai -Khorat line . I recall the announced it would be finished in 2 years , 6 months ago, Personally I don't think they will break ground for another year at least

You seem to be a little short on facts to support such a condescending and know it all stand.
  11. I also have seen big trucks with much personell cleaning up the pavements. They took everything away and dumped it in the truck, flowerpots, advertisings and all other garbage which was on the pavement.

    Good to see this cleanup!

Lousy and selfish attitude. The stall businesses being located in main pedestrian thoroughfares is these people's bread & butter but for your trivial convenience let 'em go hungry, eh?
  12. And they should also require Thai teachers to pass certification exams on teaching critical thinking skills and preparing and grading non-multiple choice exams.

Is this the same guy that has said that the Thai education system in going downhill rapidly?

What a farce. This guy obvious paid a lot of money for his position. He has no clue whatsoever.

I say let them have their Thainess.

The truth of the matter is that those that have not left the country already would be more than happy to go back to swinging through trees.

This will be just another grab for money anyway. Wait until they tell us how much it costs.

Thailand is going further backwards every day.

    cheesy.gifwai.gifcheesy.gifwai.gifcheesy.gifwai.gif

Some people actually gave this a "like" They must actually think that YOU have any honest, real knowledge or insight! cheesy.gifwai.gifcheesy.gifwai.gifcheesy.gifwai.gif

  13. I notice that a large number of Thai-bashers are selecting various flaws which they attribute to Thai people and "cleverly" setting them down as Thainess. These morons actually believe that they are being witty and original when in fact they are demonstrating that they are all of the same dull, nasty, unimaginative ilk. It is amazing that many of these jokers speak about dishonesty of Thais while they incessantly and deliberately set down lies in the form of malicious mischaracterizations and uninformed speculations. And they talk about the Thais. Whatever flaws the bashers find in the Thais- The Thais are not malicious and certainly not so just for the sake of being malicious- But the bashers get off on it. wink.png

  14. They should require Thai English teachers to pass the TOEIC exam like they do with the Filipino teachers. Of course 90% of the Thai teachers would fail since they are unable to understand or speak the language they are supposed to be teaching. But I suppose that means they pass the Thainess exam

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somehow my answer seems to be connected to the text that I have replied to so I am placing this edited delineation in. My reply to DP25 is:

"Of course 90% of the Thai teachers would fail since they are unable to understand or speak the language they are supposed to be teaching. But I suppose that means they pass the Thainess exam." What a bunch of totally uninformed, speculative, know-nothing crap.cheesy.gif

  15. I wonder why she didn't donate the pig heads to poor people instead of the temples? If a poor person was starving to death they wouldn't be given one crumb left from the pig heads.

You want to knock one worshiper for what you consider waste? Hey dude she ain't a religious institution! Knock enormously wealthy big religion for waste of resources in the face of poverty if you want to play Mr. Righteous.

Besides the food is not likely to have gone to waste.

In any case you can have the pig's head. I'll take the rib roast ;)

  16. With human rights on the improve in Thailand ,the 84 day detention should be a breeze , I shouldn't wonder that western Governments will soon introduce this as it is certainly the easy way to do things, certainly when a terrorist attack is imminent, maybe another way is to place everyone on detention, that's even easier, this has unlimited possibilities, why didn't I think of it , I probably lack that main ingredient Thainess.. coffee1.gif

Reading your post I think that it is more likely that what you lack is the same ingredient that it does- Coherence.. :coffee1:
