How about closing the beach road to all traffic except for baht buses, and run those in both directions. The icing on the cake would be to also install a canal, and run baht boats for when the beach road floods.

There is nowhere in Thailand that has a track capable of having F1 cars going around it at speed. The only places flat enough would be a large airport. The Americans used to use airports and air bases for high speed racing. Lots of long straights and nothing to hit and good run off areas. Don Mueang and the big road at the back near the air museum would be perfect !

I flew from the UK August 31. Flight was full. Surprising considering the massive price hikes in air fares. I got a one way ticket for 500GBP. I had to book my hotel at the last minute and most of my preferred options were full.

Perhaps a useful mega-project (no sarcasm intended) would be to build a mega canal to take the pressure off of the rivers and to divert the water around the urban centres and out to sea?
