Personally, in my opinion, cars worth more than 1 million baht should have 1st class insurance.
If they don't have that insurance, they should accept the maximum sum paid out by the insurance of the 2nd party.
In such cases where the driver who caused the accident is clearly in fault (like this), the driver should face a restriction to drive a certain time.I have always had 1st class insurance or my vehicles including big bikes (hate the term). However, after bing reversed into the side of my Everest the insurance company tried to only cover a fill and paint. No way! Replace the door. The guy was snake eye drunk and the police did nothing just let him drive off after admitting 100% fault.

People who can afford cars like that don't get them fixed, they go out and buy a new one.
Bizarre. People who can afford cars like that can afford them because they don't throw money away. Crazy statement.

I do not think so. In years past before the internet there were far fewer foreigners visiting Thailand. Now visitors have literally tripled and all sorts are arriving and amongst them are troublemakers.
Bizzare! You do know about the Vietnam war and American GI's? Officers Phuket the rankers Pattaya and that was in the 60's.....

By extension it seems Thailand is the number 1 destination in the world to visit for misogynistic or lecherous men.
Another misguided remark. Educate yourself more because you have no idea. 90% of sex workers in Thailand is geared up for Thai only. On Rachada there are what I thought were massive very beautiful looking hotels. No they are brothels for only Thai men. Hairdresses provide more than cut and blow dry. And it's not only men. I used to stay in a condo and at night there was a restaurant with live singing and music. The posh cars would roll up and out would hobble old classy ladies "Thai". They would be entertained by young gigolo men who would sit and dance with them. It was fun to watch. Not seedy and the ladies were very jealous of others dancing with their gigolo. Ball room dancing not hand bags and the slosh. It is very much a Thai culture thing. Crazy how westerners try to put their idea of morals on a thousand year way of life. Sex is not thought the same in Thailand. Being a good husband means more to a Thai woman than being a young handsome man because they know they are all butterflies.

A money grab which will never see the benifit of tourism. Like already said "Thailand regress not progress". The amount of money pumped into Thailand by America during the Vietnam war, money donated in the aftermath of disasters and of course tourism including expats and you still can't walk down a sidewalk and forget it if you are in a wheelchair! Thailand should have been another Japan or definatly another South Korea....

Personally I would be for most issues that Thaksin is against. Many innocent people were shot dead during his previous 'campaign' against alleged drug dealers.
I understand your stance being a person who doesn't like Thaksin, however, he was a dually elected PM by the people as was his sister and would be again if a vote is clean as would his sister. As for charges made against them by unelected thugs with guns who stole the country, they don't stand. Never forget who gave the order to shoot unarmed protesters in a temple grounds then proceeded to bully and threaten the very brave nurse.

Yes the culture.....
A culture where kids are forced to show respect to elders, rather than simply showed how to be friendly.
A culture where people teach their children that adults are more worthy than them, you have to 'wai' to adults.
Seems to me that when these kids grow up, they want to show that now, they are 'grown-ups', but ill equipped to do so based on their upbringing.
And they do not want to fail in showing that they are now strong. Even if it takes 5 of them to show their newly-acquired manhood...
There is something real nasty that has been embedded in the mind of these people....
Not seen in my culture. Anyone has another cause to effect reasoning for this behavior that we see here....
What nonsense! Thais are on the whole coward's and bullies. They lasted meer minutes when Japan invaded, their hands up and white flags flaping in the wind. It is ingrained so they will only fight when they think they are on the winning side. Why so close to China? Because they wrongly think China is stronger the same mistake they made with Japan. Thai history is full of examples.

The same people blaming The Foreigner and degrading the Foreigner's Spouse! Is so typical on here. It happened in a petrol station, the Foreigner (racist as should be just man and his wife but the derogatory use "Foreigner and slighting his wife" is pure racist). I too would be so very angry at a grown man throwing water at me in a petrol station ruining my coffee and soaking me. This nonsense about respecting Thai Traditions or ever changing Thai Traditions. Well my Scottish Tradition or even male tradition is to knockout a man out who throws a drink in my face!!!

Thailand is not the place to go if your disabled especially if you use a wheelchair! Unless you want to stay in a real 4 or 5 star hotel and not leave. Thailand is not disabled friendly. Even disabled parking spaces are taken up by big SUV's or Thai so called high end vehicle's who have the disability of Entitlement fantasy!@!!!

It's not really any "secret", but rather most of the human animal just choose to look the other way. It's always...my entertainment...my child...my taste pleasure, etc...is far more important than the suffering of and cruelty to other-than-human animals.
What nonsense! Man and animals have a very symbiosis relationship, from dogs to horses. Example of benifits to the animal involved would be falconry where a captive falcon lives nearly twice as long as a wild falcon. The same can be said with horses as the damage 2 stallions do to each other sometimes involving death. Then there is the relationship: man and wolf/dog which has benefited both parties. Animals which are saved from extinction occurs from work carried out in reputable Zoo's around the world. Please stop the fantasy because it always results in the culling of thousands of animals. The results of over population of an animal type always results in the same death by slow starvation.

Why! Does that give you security in your mindset that only naughty people get attacked? News flash "innocent people are attacked and murdered often". This occurs when mentally unstable people have episodes or off their meds. Steroids and testosterone meds cause very aggressive behaviour. An attack from behind with such ferocity by a man who has carried out other similar attacks yet walking free must also have money and be protected or just incompetent police. The blood of this poor man is on a lot of people's hands.
