What to do DPD can’t help and Thai customs can’t find it with out an A number from the seller. DPD sent it through Parcel2go I just keep getting emails saying you need to pay customs. With no return address.
  2. I needed some teeth adding to my lower denture, so the good wife booked me into one opposite the bus station in town. As she is from the town I had no other thoughts on the practice as most Thai dental clinics are very good in my experience, I even fell asleep in the chair in one. This was not to be the case this time. We were greeted by a middle aged Thai lady dressed in a yellow jersey and black dress I presumed was the assistant, she said to wait a few minutes. I was called in to sit in the chair, no air con just a ceiling fan and the place looked a little grubby. I told here I wanted a cost for four teeth to be added to my lower denture. She took out both lower and upper dentures and asked about colour. Then disappeared into the next room on the phone it was when she came back that I noticed the plastic gloves had yellow stains on them and were dirty. She had had them in my mouth. I told her that I was not happy and she had not given me price and wished to leave. She blocked me in the chair, saying that she never had a complaint before I refused and got my way out of the chair. Only now to be told that the total 14 teeth would cost 14000 B.It was then I realised she had taken my teeth into a rear room and said I would need to pay 2900B to get them back. I offered her 1000 but she wanted the full amount. My wife had huge argument with her but she demanded the money. I said leave it and said let’s go to the Police even without teeth. The wife went into the back room returns some minutes later my teeth in hand. Wife said Her dental clinic was filthy with old food and rusty tools in the back and that she had hidden my teeth in draw We were out of the shop. Some days later we were called to the. Police station and asked why we went to that dentist as she is known for this and that they had 20 cases outstanding even one against the Police 157 for negligence. We had a lawyer he too knew if the woman. We are being charge for stealing my teeth obstruction and trespassing, she is asking for 50000B. The Police and my lawyer seem to be scared of her? When I asked why I was told she takes the police to court at the drop of a hat has the time and is backed by an inheritance of 200million B. What a way to go. My next call I got was to tell me my central heating boiler at home in the UK has gone on the blink and needs replacing. Heads up
  3. I prefer the chicken alone cheers the mix upsets my gut
  4. I think more to do with he family influence they certainly have more money than I yet my wife he’ll bent on spending all we have on supporting them not to mention the brother, I could write book on what incompetent I have endured these last few weeks. If only we could keep him off the booze all day and driving a out of the box Ranger <deleted> as a coot and on the phone at the same time. A warning to other drivers out there. Last time I was here he had an affair upsetting the whole family yet not his fault they said it could have been caused by the after shave I brought him back from the UK. LOL Every day an eye opener. So yes very apprehensive about the land given to the wife especially when we opted tofill 20 meter and after a night of Chang I was told I had to fill in 30 meters on my wife’s land and do the same fill at my expense on there land at the same time. Heads up
  5. Anyone have an idea where one could buy some Rhode Island Red or other egg layers in or around Sakhon Nakhon area
  6. I too no problem at all it was my wife’s idea to pay less said it was too much and opted for the cheap option, I sad pay it I had no issues it was the wife and her mother’s idea
  7. The problem is that when they need money they mortgage the land to the Bank or use it as bail bond this would apply to the land in her name if her father needed money. So that would be the land I have sold my house in the UK to develop. If it was in my sons name it could not be used in this way
  8. Sorry didn’t see the typo “Iraqi” yes been done land is now in her name and is now saying she is not happy to put it in my her sons name as she would have nothing. Her words, her father has some 100 Rai of land and she has claim to my house UK so she will be well off
  9. Well if we fell out I would have little claim to my investment as I have seen in the past in Thailand. I would be out on my ear
  10. My wife’s family have some land they say they would like for us to develope. 5 rai cut out of 22, now I have said if they can put the land into my sons name Who is a Thai National I would be happy to build the house. However we seem have problems doing this, the issue now is that if the land is transferred from my wife’s mother to her grand son it will be at 3% amounting to 23000 B but if transferred to her daughter it would be at 1% 6000 B so they have put the land into my wife’s name, making Iraqi see it A very risky business. Could anybody tell me if the is correct to transfer to grand son it is more expensive than to transfer to daughter. thank for any advice
