Like I can not see any names or description of the Other people in this Photo. ? ... I wonder if it his Part Thai Daughter on the left ? ... Like if it is then what a great think that he has done to have left a really good looking and obviously capable young woman like this on our Planet !!! ??? ..
I believe this story though wether the other woman was stealing or not. Or he was just "loaning" it to her I do not know. But it was a very dangerous situation for him to be in I think, As other posters have pointed out.
And we do not seem to have heard from his Thai Wife ? ... Like that is not her in the Photo is it ???
Still that can just be close enough and RIP Peter. Quite a huge disaster for every one here I think. ... And RIP.
Why is it that the husband brought a knife in this meeting? Was the plan to kill the owner and defend his action with "loss of face"?
Maybe he believed his wife was raped or insulted by the Australian?
We will probably never get all the facts in this story only speculation from all the Thaivisa desktop detectives (or even better: The bar stool detectives)

I saw this on the news. My wife translated to me. The woman employee, in her own words, stated how Aussie owner was a nice man and helped her many times by lending the money. She owed him THB 9,000 and instead of repaying the debt, she asked for few more thousands. Resort owner refused and told her this was the last time she gets any more loans or advance payments. She went home, told husband what happened and he got upset and killed the poor guy. The killer has been in jail many times before, mostly for assaulting other people.
Stop being nice and helpful to Thai employees by borrow them money etc., they are not your friend or family. If he hadn't borrowed her money in the first place he would still be alive today.

This is ridiculous, more corruption money to BIB during Songkran. Thailand getting worse with rules and regulations every year, when is this going to stop?

Sad to see that a Danish man behave like this and for 70,-THB. Normally they are polite and friendly people, this must be a bad apple. Too bad they didn't have a surveillance camera who shows what was really happening. (I don't trust some Thai's who want to rip off tourists)

The number of rotten apples in immigration is mind-blowing.
Is there any apples left that is not rotten? I have never met anybody so far in my 30 years living in LOS.
I always get this line at the immigration when applying for 1 year visa : "Your paperwork is not complete Mr. Falang, but I kan help you".
I guess most of you guys have heard this before.

The corruption works best face to face. Last year, for example, I discovered that a receipt for a fine (late reporting for 90 day) costs 1000 baht. With a receipt - 2000 baht, don't want a receipt - 1000 baht. (Pretty sure the 1000 didn't go anywhere near the government funds thought)
Thailand is the only country in the world who have a 90 days report policy. (I did a google search)
I believe it's made to get more money from foreigners who forget to report, especially older people with alzheimer or bad memory.
If a foreigner staying in the Kingdom over 90 days without notifying the immigration bureau or notifying the immigration bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000 Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.

HAHA! I have to chuckle at this.... "Several civilian agents are also being investigated in the latest scandal to hit the RTP."
"LATEST scandal"...... They are basically saying the RTP are as corrupt as the criminals they are sworn to protect the public from. So sad!!!
Guess who the biggest organized criminal syndicate in Thailand are?

I don't see any pointing fingers at the criminals on this picture or are they only pointing when foreigners are involved?

If they want to stop corruption in Immigration, move transactions online. Face to face interaction allows them to fleece expats.
You mean like the 90 days report online who work once a year if you are lucky?

Let's hope all money will be digital in the future, no more corruption and brown envelopes.

Sounds like somebody didn't proffer the requisite brown envelope in a timely manner.
You are right, the most important issue when doing "business" in Thailand is the brown envelope. Maybe it was delivered but with wrong amount?
I heard Brazil is friendly against rich people on the run from the law or I could be wrong.

And this man on the run and several countries watching for him, cannot be named? Or even better a picture of him that isn't being blurred out?
I was thinking the same thing, something fishy about this story. Are they hiding something? Who was the kingpin in the underage prostitution syndicate? A Thai citizen maybe? Just speculation, until they either bury the story or release full name of the "Swiss porn gangster".

Been reading about prostitution, under-age girls, drugs and bars supplying all the above for 30+ years now and nothing has changed, policemen like Big Joke came and gone with plenty of promises
but here we are, back to square one, and as long as there's demands, there will be supply, one way or another.
The Swiss guy forgot to give Big Joke the brown envelope, now he's a fugitive.

So in 75 days he has been spending money in barbeers, restaurants girls illegally. "Shame on you falang who dear come to our country and ignore Thai immigration rules". (sarcasm).

RTP is rotten from the top to the bottom cops on the beat. Just auditing their unusual wealth will be sufficient to launch an investigation. They not even bother to hide their wealth and flaunt them with blatant display of expensive houses and cars. They know no one can touch them. At worst, they just get transferred to inactive posting as punishment. Still waiting for Prayut to step in and make big reform announcement. Doubt he will as he need RTP to protect him from student activists.
Agree, RTP is rotten and if you ever have a problem in Thailand don't call the police, they are the problem.

How about some news about crimes Thai's are committing, or is that something we don't want to show, they can include corrupt politician's, police, immigration officers and just plain Thai citizens for all I care.
Not Thai bashing, but something relevant in news would be good, as I never heard of overstayers making the news back in my country.
No pointing fingers on the picture, that was disappointing, have they stopped doing that?

Where is the pointing fingers at the Polish criminal?
I am sure he is guilty in everything he is accused of in Poland, but Interpol obviously forgot to confiscate his passport and stop him from entering a flight to Thailand.

More gunfights in Pattaya, time to leave Thailand's "Dodge City".
How about a crack down on Thai's with guns instead of falangs with overstay?

This thai "lady" is never going to get married if her parents don't stop pretending they are from a rich high class thai family.
Send her back to the bar and maybe she have better luck with the next "boyfriend".
