Like so many foreigners, you don't understand driving in Thailand or the video. THen try to make up some wierd assumptions as if you are superior to Thai people.

You do realise that you can watch the same sort of driving in videos from all over the world including UK?

He don't understand driving in Thailand? Please.. You one of the farlangs who try to defend the stupid and dangerous driving from thai People? You say you can watch bad driving from all around the world,  then please explain why Thailand has one of the world's most deaths in traffic?

I am always amazed at the reckless, dangerous manner in which many foreigners drive their motorbikes around Thailand. I am sure they would never do this in their home country. So why do they do it here in Thailand? A death wish perhaps.

Foreigners? Look at how thai people drive, and they risk understanding.. Foreigners atleast have a better education in driving.

I recall when we last had a surge of Russians come here years ago, I had issues a couple of times with them trying to get in front of me at supermarket checkouts..... not had that happen, so these must be polite and well mannered Russians.

I have the same experience.. The russians before covid, i find alot of them to not be polite. But after covid, (and the war started) I find russians to be more polite in pattaya. so its not only me who experience this..

    Fair question..

Only realized once I arrived home and scanned it into the PC!!

Understand.  I did not mean to come across as a smart A**, this happened to me one time too, they put the wrong stamp. And I realised it later when I was back home. After that I always check passport at once.  ????  But at that time everything was fine.

But as Dr jack54 says, it's not a problem.

Watched the video with keen interest.

    Observations...

20 out of the 30 women dropped out almost immediately after the initial introduction and greeting, long before he started voicing his chauvinistic views. They gave reasons like "I don't like the way he talks", "he shook my hand too hard" It looks like the contestants had a chance to meet one another before the show was taped, so maybe they had a chance to size the guy up beforehand.

Interesting that his Thai language skills seemed to have almost worked against him. He was able to communicate very effectively, but the women seemed to really be turned off by his controlling behavior. It started with him saying he didn't like it when the woman listened to loud music, which seemed to really turn off almost all the women, sort of an "anti-sanook" vibe.

Even though his Thai was very fluent and colloquial, in my opinion, it was rather working or lower class and did not have the hallmarks of being from a well-to-do family. He didn't have that polite, soft-spoken, considered delivery that many Thai women seem to find attractive. Because of this, I have a suspicion that there may have been a bias against him as being the off-spring of a foreign father who had a liaison with a sex-worker.

If anyone wants to study what Thai female body language looks like when they don't like what they're hearing, go to the 31 minute mark of the video. It's quite educational.

But what I found most interesting was how universally his chauvinistic attitudes went over like a lead balloon. I keep hearing on this forum how Thai women are submissive and eager to wait on their man hand and foot. It's simply not true. That guy would be branded as immature, and almost a scary psycho control freak by the vast majority of Thai women I've ever encountered. I suppose there might be a few women out there who might find his demeanor attractive, but they're few and far between. I can't think of any local women I know who would put up with that type of behavior.

10 dropped out at first. Not 20. So he had 20 left.

You can get a SETV in Vientiane with long history (more than 180 days in Thailand, 2 previous land border etc). I did it last week. Better to  have all the requirements requested (proof of lodging, proof of flight ticket out of Thailand, bank statement last 3 months). But if you are lucky you can give your documents at one of the 2 counters where the IO asks only for bank account statement…

How long have you been in Thailand?

    Thanks.

Most likely, you would be returned to your last departure point. If you try to fly from Vientiane to Chiang Mai, you might go via Luang Prabang, but more likely would go via Bangkok, and go through Immigration there. I do not believe there are direct flights from Vientiane to Chiang Mai.

If returned from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, it should be possible to arrange flights from there to Norway.

    Thank you.

Is it another alternative here, for me to go to immigration in jomtien,  apply for a 30day extension, witch will not be granted, (as my last visa exempt i alredy have extended with 30 days) but will i get 7 days to leave Thailand?
