  1. I bought Berberine (a supplement to control blood sugar among other benefits) at Lazada at a rather steep price of 1150 Baht. When I opened the parcel, I saw that they'd added a miniscule package of "baby wipes", see attached picture. I don't know what to think of it...Do they take the piss out of me or what? 😊
  2. You should learn to read before replying.
  3. I stated that last September they offered a promo of doing this 90 day reporting for THB 100, thereby mentioning this would last until "the next visa renewal". So it's December now, and it's only my 2nd 90 days reporting. I really can't think of a good reason how such a reputable company would go down this road over a silly amount of money while clearly doing an attempt on ruining their own good reputation.
  4. Thai Visa Centre are one of the biggest players in this field and should be very wary not to come across as a shady, untrustworthy agent.
  5. It's like buying a washing machine with 1 year guarantee, and when you contact them after 3 months they say: sorry, we changed our guarantee policy, we can't help you...
  6. Good that there are people who understand the issue, unlike "Dan O". I wonder, does such a thing often happen here?
  7. Last September Thai Visa Centre (visa agent) had this promotion: "We provide 90 days report 100 THB per time for delivery fee only (discount from 500 THB per time) until your next visa renewal." So I let them do my first 90-days reporting for 100 THB. This week I needed them to do a 2nd 90-days reporting, expecting it would still cost 100 THB. To my big surprise I got a message that the promotion for 90 day report is discontinued and that it now would cost 500 THB. I am a bit flabbergasted. Is this a decent way to operate a business?
  8. Thanks. But what's the reason why I only need to show €1000 per 30 days, so €3000 per 90 days on my bank account when applying for a NON-O retirement visa in my home country, while I have to show (like you mentioned) 800.000 Baht on my bank account at nearby embassies/consulates?
  9. Something else: If I'm correct, embassies and consulates nearby require 800.000 Baht on a bank account as requirement for getting a NON-O "retirement visa" valid for 90 days. But in my home country (which I read on the website of the local Thai embassy) there is only a requirement of €1000 per 30 days of stay in Thailand for getting this NON-O "retirement visa" of 90 days, which is obviously considerably less than the 800.000 Baht or the monthly income of 65.000 Baht. How come? Or do I miss something?
  10. Much appreciated! Where can I find the requirements for getting a NON-O visa? Is Savannakhet an "easy" place to get a NON-O Visa? I actually would like to be (almost) 100 % sure that a NON-O will be granted, before starting a trip outside of Thailand... And any suggestions for other "easy" consulates/embassies within reach to get this NON-O visa?
  11. I have quite a lengthy tourist visa history plus the officer mentioned that I had done a (1 day) border bounce which actually was the reason for taking me aside. And the reason of arranging the NON-O visa myself is that I probably would save money + having a trip outside Thailand would also be nice. I'm now on a Tourist Visa that will end in a few weeks. So if I read your reply correctly: it's not possible to arrange the NON-O visa myself and let the agent arrange the 1 year extension of stay?
  12. I'm planning to do an agent assisted "retirement visa". First I need a NON-O visa that I can get from them while staying in Thailand. Later on the 1 year extension of stay will be arranged. But I wonder, could I also get this NON-O visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet? Last time I arrived in Thailand with a Tourist Visa I was taken aside by an immigration officer who told me that next time I probably would have problems when arriving with a tourist visa again. But would arriving with a NON-O Visa be problematic, or not?
