Tourists Face 100000 Fine for Banned Sunscreens in Thai Parks
I notice it’s addressed to tourists only. How about people? Thais use all sorts of creams on their bodies including the number one cream. Bleaching or whitener. That’s pretty poisonous and damaging. It goes down the shower trap daily. Maybe cross contamination. Tourists are already swerving Thailand for Bietnam and the Philipines. Long term expats are leaving at an alarming rate. Is Thailand deliberately ignoring these facts?

Thailand Named World’s Safest Holiday Destination in 2025
well if the deaths of 2 to 3 Brits a day (not counting other nationalities) is the worlds safest I despair. The publisher’s Travelbag were an Australian discount bucket shop when I lived in The UK. Can’t find them in any r3commended trav3l agents list though today. Maybe TaT bought them out!!!

Norway Halts Income Letters at Thai Embassy; Retirees Affected
Thai immigration ate going to have to start accepting bank statements and entitlement letters as proof of income. If they don’t then the main beneficiaries will be Vietnam and Cambodia who are actively trying to attract retirees with 3 and 5 year visas and attractive health benefits.

Long Term visa health insurance from LMG.
A broker in Udon Thani recently sold me a 12 month health insurance policy with a deductible of 100k. The policy was with Liberty Medical Group. The broker purchased through another broker MSG Brokers in Bangkok. At all times the broker knew I was in possession of a non b visa. The policy wording states the insurance satisfies the Thai Governments Covid Insurance requirements for non A and Special visa. My question is does that insurance cover any claim I may make as a non b visa holder? The broker tells me yes since it is on the proposal form and the insurers accepted me BUT neither the broker or Liberty will confirm in writing that as a non b visa holder I would be covered. Has anyone bought this policy and have they claimed? Was the claim met in full?

US Kick streamer provokes brawl in Thailand
Why is it always black people who cause trouble wherever they go? Surely there must be some genuinely nice, refined black people who abhor the way their race is being portrayed. Would help if the subject didn't look like a dish mop as well. Clean yourself up !!!

Yingluck Patiently Awaits Homecoming In Thaksin’s Style
Is there a reason why you always refer to Taksin as “de facto boss cum convict etc. Etc”. Why not just “Former Prime Minister”?

Medical Council Asked To Probe Thaksin’s Doctors
Maybe Doctors should probe the Mental Health of the petitioner. He seems to have a manic insistence and attraction to former Prime Minister Thaksin. It can’t be good for him to suffer this debilitating depression untreated?

Experts say lowest ever PISA score is a wakeup call for Thailand’s failing education system
Yet again a damming report on Thai education and standards. They know the answers but they don’t want to hear the answers or look at the proof. In my school one stream taught by natives has 97% proficiency in English whilst the other stream taught by non natives has a 32% ability. What do they do? Stop teaching, introduce activities which have no academic benefit, or educational achievement to bring the stronger team down. Instead of a project on say the Aboriginal art and its meanings my P5 today will be folding 3 pieces of A4 paper to make a Chefs hat! let’s look at the other benefits of native speakers, assuming a school really does want to educate its students. When a native teaches here they earn 25% of their salary in their home country. They spend their salary in Thailand, renting houses, buying cars and motorcycles which they tax and insure. Many meet partners and invest in land and homes benefitting Thai tradesmen and businesses. When an Asian native teaches here they earn 2 - 300% more than their home country. They live 3 or 4 to a room and send most of their money home. They are not motivated by a sense of achievement but purely by money. Standards are down? For sure. Ask yourself, if you lived in London and wanted to learn Thai would you ask a Thai person or a Laos person? Answer that correctly and you have your solution. It’s not too late but it soon will be!

Thailand ranks bottom of the pile with ASEAN English score
Is it any wonder when Thailand continues to employ low ability teachers from the Philippines. Their grammar is atrocious and their screeching extended vowel pronunciation is an insult to the language. Ask yourself Thailand that if I wanted to learn Thai in England would I use a Thai teacher or a Laoation?
