My father in law never asked for any money. The only thing he said was Love & Respect her.

About time Uttaradit got an airport. Can be a pain flying to Sukhothai or Phitsanulok.

Compared to Manchester airport, Suvarnabhumi is paradise on earth.
The only issues I have at Suvarnabhumi is miserable immigration staff.

I’ll be staying well clear this songkran. Being the only farang in the village makes me an obvious target. The thought of getting Pi$$ed wet through every 5 minutes and then given a shot of Thai whiskey ain’t my cup of tea anymore.

Big no from me. Add the price of travelling from The North West of England and a possible overnight stay in some grubby hotel near Gatwick. Much cheaper going via Dubai from the hellhole called Manchester airport.

I was thinking it was a Glasgow Rangers footie shirt !
Looks more like an early/mid 80’s Chelsea shirt

Getting through Immigration at Suvarnabhumi is enough to raise anyone’s blood pressure, Except for the wife who casually strolls through and proceeds to collect our luggage. 🙄

Worked with two scousers, that didn't like to bathe. Worked with many Aussie's and they never stunk or had the hangups like so many of the Brits I worked with. The only "normal" people I recall were the Scottish, hard drinking (could handle their liquor) and hard working sensible people. The Brits were all pompous know it all, annoying excuses for human beings.
Just think if your ancestors had not been convicts you could have been one of us..

Should get 10 years minimum just for wearing that Man United shirt.

Yet they are openly on sale especially on Sukhumvit nana area. I know of one shop that sells them in Mueang Uttaradit. And it’s very close to the local police station and the police don’t bat an eyelid 🙄

Plenty of BKK number plates in Pattaya every weekend, and triple that on long weekends, despite the well-planned road constructions during high season that turn already clogged traffic into a nightmare.
My car has a BKK number plate. Doesn’t mean I’m from Bangkok. lol

I’m sure if it was a Thai guy punched in the face and sustained a broken nose the police would have checked CCTV and had someone in custody now !

Can't remember from the last time I travelled by coach (it was NakonChaiAir), are there seatbelts fitted?
Yes seatbelts are fitted on the buses.
We have Used NakonChaiAir from BKK to Uttaradit.- 1

Me and the Mrs were walking along Sukhumvit soi 4 about 1 month ago and there was an older lady with 2 very young looking girls. Both looking very nervous as they walked into Nana plaza.
Now, most Thai girls look much younger than their age. But these 2 looked very young. No doubt fake Thai ID and no doubt being touted for business.. sad state of affairs.- 1

I've seen them in a mob trying to get a girl on Beach Rd to go with them all for a discount price. Then there was the one on a baht bus asked me if he could barter the 10 baht price down.
Once saw a huge mob of them marching up soi 8 to the local Indian restaurant on the soi.. I would have loved to been a fly on the wall seeing them barter the restaurant owner lol

I've stayed in Samut Prakan many times and it's not a place where tourists go in numbers. It's very much a Thai-style place, or it is where I have been including bars and eateries.
Agree. I’ve been a few times and considering it’s only a hop skip and a jump away from BKK and easily accessible, I saw very few farang.

Most people across the world would think it is wrong, utterly.
But the only way they could fix it would be to bring in something as big as Disney. It would attract Indian families, boost domestic demand and offer jobs to young Thai graduates.
Lmao 🤣
all those Indian families spending a grand total of about 200 baht.
