Hey guys, I've been thinking about hitting up a Thai massage session this weekend and I'm curious—what do you folks usually wear to be comfortable? I mean, you want to relax and not end up in a pretzel, right? So, do you go for the loose-fitting yoga pants vibe or is it more of a lightweight shorts and tank top scenario? Any tips would be awesome because I’d rather not turn up looking like I’m dressed for a gym session or too formal.

More to this I think….
it’s likely more about attitude than the actual baggage.- Person asks for assistance & gets a ‘not my job’ response.
if either approached the situation with ‘attitude’ it’s going to trigger the other.
TG crew can be amazing, they can also be outrageously snooty & lazy.
On a 6 hr flight (with my Son who was 5 at the time), I wanted a beer (had 1 beer with the meal before that), the cabin crew had not passed through the cabin for 30mins, I’d normally get up & ask, but didn’t want to leave my son alone.
I rang the call button, FA came & in an extremely snotty manner told me I have to go & get the beer myself !!!
I was furious.
Agree: it never goes one-way...

Fortunately, we have a great world savior in the name of Bill Gates:

And if you believe that Bill Gates could be responsible for the raise of mosquito-related diseases with his mosquito program, you are just a conspi-racist:

3 years? What are these people thinking? Or are they thinking?
Go to immigration and get renewed. If you're under 50 make a visa run.
Otherwise you're in trouble.
Experienced with Northern European here.
The way their brain work is just... mind-blowing... to say it politely...

Alter Schwede! You believe so? Winter depression, high suicide rate,...
When I recall all those Scandinavian idiots I have seen when living in Hua Hin, this just doesn't make me want to leave there.

So now you're a seriously dangerous criminal that deserves the full weight of the Immigration police?
Seriously? For overstaying!! You need to get a reality check Thai authorities, and concentrate your efforts on real criminals.
And you, you would need to get back to school!
I mean: can't you read properly??
The article never stated that overstayers were dangerous criminals.
The article states that they discovered that Swede while being in their process of tracking foreign criminals seeking refuge in Thailand, like for instance that German butcher or that Spanish chef, as any 10-year-old kid would have understood right away.

This Bangkok public mass transport was and is a joke compared to leading countries/cities.
Tiny network, highly complicated fare rules split into multiple operators.
Paying on a station by station counting for single rides on the crowded BTS.
"Red line", 41.3 km, 25000 passengers per day, 2000 Baht a month
Also the bus network is a joke, with those failed incarnations driving buses and those fare collectors who do not even know the line on which they operate!
I have never seen such morons on any bus network.

OK, I understand it is a joke. But it is not funny at all and even stupid.
Reminds me of those stupid christian missionaries we had in our Thai classes, who believe to know and tell other how they have to dress!

Totally agree. The UK, like other western 'democracies', is becoming more authoritarian by the day. Witness the debanking scandal (which is much wider than Nigel Farage by the way), where faceless bank bureaucrats can make someone a non-person just because they don't like their opinions, or the censorship of any views which contradict the official narrative on Covid 1984, climate change, Ukraine etc etc.
A benign dictatorship like Singapore, where the people give up marginal freedoms in exchange for prosperity, no corruption and a well-managed economy is preferable to a pseudo democracy like Thailand, where corruption is rampant and most of the country's wealth is controlled by an all-powerful elite.
Could you please develop on the "marginal freedoms" Singaporean gave up? I am interested in reading this.
And about western democracy, are we talking about electing people, who then after conduct policies we had never asked for?? Except for the form, what difference does it make with other non-democratic countries?? I just recall 2005, as the French voted against the EU constitution project; 3 years later, French President Sarkozy signed the Lisbon Treaty and allowed France to rejoin the NATO integrated command.

I know you may not agree with me but it really pisses me off to see this..I've seen this in Panama as well, a poorer country than Thailand. They constantly market expensive items on TV, Radio, etc knowing 98% of the people can't afford it. I was with my girlfriend in Panama watching all these commercials and we'd look at each other and shake our heads. We'd drive by car lots with tons of repo's in the lot. Panama was the first country I lived in that had a very small % of people that had ANY money. They even had Lada dealers, people couldn't even afford those.
The vulture capitalism is bad enough in the west..actually it's HORRIBLE and should be criminalized. But in my opinion, in Thailand it's a crime against humanity.
As far as I know, nobody forces people to take huge loans to buy things they do not necessarily need with money they do not necessarily have, just to impress people they do not necessarily like.
Capitalism only gives the possibility to companies to produce and sell those things, but also leaves the consumer with the liberty to not buy those, why criminalize??
Capitalism cannot be criminalized for the lack of responsibility of the consumers.

They don't need: they have their hard-working wives for this, all indoctrinated since young age at home and at school to be willing to work hard for their lazy husbands.
They also have their daughters: as soon as the first period kicks in, they are either told to work as prostitutes finding old fat western customers, or they are sold to rich pedophiles!
It is the same in Cambodia, and it used to be the same in Korea.

Many have no other option than to borrow for things like school activities, school uniforms, fees, learning materials etc. (also iphones, required at my 16 year old's school)
This is very exactly why I hated school! A place where we are supposed to learn? No: a place where we are forced to spend unnecessary money! I mean, uniforms, iPhones, for which purpose??
And even if a uniform is not the norm, like in my home country, if you are not dressed according to the new trends, you are ridiculized by your schoolmates and even teachers!

Either guilty or not: this is why I avoid any contact with any foreigner here - except Burmese -, although being one myself.
Too many expats, especially Westerners or assimilated as such - like my fellow citizens in Phuket not long ago - are extreme troublemakers! Just be in contact with them, and you land for sure at the police station as soon as the first even tiniest problem occurs!
