Learn thai the rapid method. I have learnt to read in 2 months mostly self-taught, now i'm having private tuition with erin on zoom to build a vocabulary this is extremely difficult tho and will be a long process and has cost a fair amount of money. I'm also using a tutor on preply and I am very slowly reading danbrowns inferno translated into thai with him. They also hold group classes in chiang mai. 

I hope for a long and very quiet low season. Sadly I can't get out to Thailand this year during the low season. But it would be good to help pricing come back down to reality as they are asking high season prices in the hotels. Also just after COVID which I got stuck in as I booked during the pandemic thinking COVID would end earlier so I would not get caught up in the rush. I never want to be in Thailand when it's crowded again. Hated it 

What's the point it's already decided. Surely pita can see that Thailand is a lost cause and he should return to the USA and run his profitable business. Corruption and with how easy it is to buy off the electorate make it impossible to win there. It's what I would do in his current position

How does tourism benefit. Thailand is a poor country with little to offer. The average daily wage is well below Australia which is a very expensive country in comparison. 

And again trade, Australia is resource rich in minerals they really need to focus on producing there own goods and products. Doing business with a corrupt country like Thailand has little to offer and lastly defence is the very worst idea. Asean is heavily in hock to china and Russia our enemies here in the west. I see no good coming out of it

Excellent. I will certainly cut my stay down of I can only do visa free entry only. I'm not paying a 600% increase and I will simply pocket the saving or spend 4 weeks Thailand 4 weeks phillapines 

Do the thais believe his acting and pretending to be shocked. He simply does not care. At least he can't escape the air quality rich or poor it will damage your lungs 

Australia is richer than most on the Asean list. Why would it want to be flooded with thais ECT who will drag down wages 

No different than what this do to us. Also South Korea is a rich country if it does nothing will have many illegal immigrants. Situation I sympathize with as a Brit

I don't ride bikes and have a fully paid up travel insurance. I certainly know from riding 1000cc in the uk you don't get on 2 wheels without full kit.

What they are saying is government can't change, amend or create new laws now. Only in Thailand does that sound remotely sensible 

If I have health and find myself retired in Thailand,as I will soon have my nursing degree and a masters in respiratory medicine ( being done now as a mature student in my mid 30's). I will be happy to teach the state kids English and by extension science. Give them a leg up on those trying to hold them down.

I thought we was all filthy falangs and low spending non quality tourists, that had to have 60 day visas made as difficult as possible with loads of paperwork. There well and truly stuffed on this.

Thailand is old news as most will have done it, the novelty with a 20 plus hour flight at triple prices and 30% more for every hotel with most being old.with zero maitance is just not going to fly. 

Lastly as I have already said the thais have made sure we know as westerners we are unwelcome guests that they tolerate. It's actually amusing that they have decided this we spend more when that that's always been the case 

Not very bright are they. Not only will this have spread around Taiwan like wildfire and put loads of them off. and single travellers like myself in the uk. But the main language in Taiwan is Mandarin. The Chinese are already worried about being victims of crime and not coming in, now they have been told they won't get medical care when unconscious having a heart attack in an ambulance regardless of there insurance. If the government had common sense the manager who made this decision would be thrown in prison and made an example of.
