hi there, does anyone know of companies that do pressed concrete driveways etc here in thailand, thanks for all your help

Unfair and most certainly wrong, but there you go.
As for the cowardly man, what about all the cowards in the bar who let a woman deal with it alone?
just goes to show why many people do not intervene anymore, gone are the days when the law is on your side.... would be surprised to hear she was in trouble for standing on the cowardly man...

No MN at Qbar, never had one, probably never will... every night is cheap thai hooker night there nowadays... far from it's former glory....
sounds like a good night then.......

It is not legal for a foreigner to fly a manned helicopter in Thailand, with the exception of commercial pilots working for international companies. There are many ultralight, microlight, delta-wing aircraft that are legal. My advice is to buy an aircraft that can be serviced easily here in Thailand.
please read what he said before commenting..... r/c (radio controlled).... look before you leap comes to mind..

ermm Im not sure why u say emails etc is needed? I understand the OP's GF is only to visit ? (ie tourist visa?)
if thats the case why would they need to prove their relationship history?
anyway, when I applied...my friend had to send in her passport page/ID and a letter stating that she would put me up, including the duration, maybe stating also where she worked. that was enough...copy of her ID, and a letter from her. ofcourse your GF will still need to provide other documents..such as her own financial status/account book, emplyoment letter
i,m just telling my experience it seems everyones is different, i just know they were strict.

better have plenty of proof that you have been in contact for a while, they had 2 years of e-mailsfor my wife who was then my girlfriend, and things are harder now that 3 years ago. good luck

well what can i say about different customs in other countries...i have just bought a new truck and my wife as insisted that we go to the wat and get the monk to bless the truck... no ghost in car..!!! so she gets me up at some god forsaken hour 5am, we then drive to the temple and wait until 7am until the monk is ready, well he sits in the car paints a temple on the roof lining, and then asks me to hold the bowl of blessed water while he begins to throw water over the car while chanting to dispel any ghosts and bad spirits... well you can imagine my surprise when he also does the interior.. my wife is killing herself laughing as she can see the expression my face as i watch him.. and i,m thinking what the hel_l is going on i buy a brand new truck 12000 quid and some old guy is washing the inside with a bowl full of dirty water... i could imagine what would happen back home... and its hard for me not laugh at the thought... Thailand man don,t ya just love it... hey and to think for 500baht i,ll never have an accident again... good deal hey...

I tell you what give an english tradesman a job to do, and he will do that job better and more dilligently than any other, sure he might pull a sicky on a monday, or try and shag your wife but god dammit he'll do that job right.
High praise!
hear hear.... thank god for the brits.....hahaha being british myself don,t like being slagged off as a nation there are idiots in every race....
-
There seems to be 2 distinctly different types of Brits.
There's the tattooed-lager-lout-pissed-idiot loser, and then there's the types that are the complete opposite and quite pleasant people. I'd say the latter are in the majority.
All of them seem to be a bit disillusioned with their home country, and from what I've heard, for good reason.
and where might i ask you are from ? just curious...!!!!!!!!

Hi all.
I have 2 million baht deposited in my girlfriend's bank account. We do plan on building or buying our house with that but not for the near future.
Any ideas as to what to do to make the most of it? It's only a standard Bangkok Bank account and the interest paid is negligeble (sp!) so I would like to buy a business or invest in something.
I do get sunbelt asia listings every week via email and there are lots of opportunities there.
Or are there any good bank accounts/savings accounts which pay good interest? I think not but you may know otherwise.
Hope to get your ideas.

Yeah, chopper bikers are usually fat and mostly pathetic, I know some good guys though, but very hard to find.
Yep, everything about this whole Harley Davidson/chopper/whatever thing is a load of pathetic nonsense. Arrogant, selfish, intrusive and antisocial people who don't really care who they offend with their noisy, spluttering and hideous machines.
You might say that I find the Harley culture repugnant! That's true. There are several Canadians living close to me and one of these people, who has the personal qualities of a louse, is infatuated with his out-of-tune, unsilenced machine. My two-year old daughter thought that her young world had come to an end when this person started his ugly heap of chrome right beside her.
I left the show at 130am last night and it was chaos, unfortunatley there was one sad death already on friday in pattaya lets hope there is'nt more to follow.
The whole event was superb, thousands of visitors, best one i've seen in thailand so far in IMO.
Dave - reading all these judgemental postings on guys with big choppers - was it you I saw half-an-hour ago, leaving your house on a noisy two-wheeled machine? (Just after that down-pour that flooded the street) I thought you preferred the big truck?
Yup that was me (bike was equipped with a thunderheader for extra noise)
good one dave.... give em hel_l.....hahaha

In the UK, we don't seem to have the same date rules as Americans. I never understood this 1st date 3rd date thing myself.
Kissing on a first date is ok having sex on a first date is also ok, entirely up to the individual. Now thats not to say that some men wont label a women as a slag or slut for sleeping with someone on the first date but isn't that the point of womens liberation, who gives a crap how soon you sleep with your date, the choice is yours & if he labels you a slag then he's just a <deleted> hypocrit as he had sex on the first date too.
good answer boo.... let us brits show em the way.... i say make love not war...hahaha

I can't imagine why you haven't found a supplier for these breeze blocks. They're a common building item.
Ask your neighbours or wife for the Thai name then ask where they bought theirs from.
The ones I bought in the past came from one of those building supply shops that sold everything from trowels, shovels to sand and gravel.
i have tried everywhere here and they only have the 3inch ones and they say that i can only get from bangkok.... thanks shaun
