I was quoted 3 different prices for the one and same visa package - what do you call that ?

In their office got 1 price from the lady work there - next day another price (in tel) by the lady I talk with previous day - finally a 3rd price from the owner ... and the price only went 1 way (you guessed it) = up, up, up. Thas was why I never used them. I used another agent who charged me 3.000 less !

They took me for a tourist or a sucker (or maybe a millionare) - i am neither.

I not care argue with you about this - anyone is free to choose a agent, i just said that I will not use them!

Anyone need visarun can make 2-3 calls to them, and make up their own mind. Cheapest on VR and airplane tickets they are not.

Hey I'm looking to buy a 42" lcd (dont like plasma) and was really impressed with the LG 53, seems like the new model of 42" lcd for LG. It was much brighter and had more vibrant colours than most of the other models, oh, that was 33,000 baht, they had better for alot more. I'm looking to spend max 35,000.

Please consider again, what brand you want to buy. Last year I buy LG 42 Plasma + DVD total THB 50.000.

Both the TV and dvd has had multiple problem a n d the service (at least in Pattaya area) is not up to pair.

Thais seems to avoid LG and rather choose Samsung and Sony.

In Thailand Notebook get very hot, 65 degrees and more on CPU - not very good for performance and lifespan.

In Europa: CPU normally 45 degrees and they complain about that.

Tukcom only have small fan (no performance coolpad - see the size and speed of the tiny fans). THB 2-400.

Wattana had 1 coolpad priced at THB 2.000 (only had stylish look, still small fans who not help cool down the Notebook).

Have you seen Coolpad with "6" fans or larger in Pattaya, who realy helps cooling down Notebook/Laptop? - where ?

I have a 4 month old Acer Aspire 4530 with a built in "crystal eyes" webcam. The problem is that the cam almost never work.

Have been at Phantip Pattaya 2 times already, still the same problem, work, not work, work, not work.......

The technicians dont seems to find the problem. Any other owner of Acer aspire out there, who have the same problem, and how did you solve it ?

Also the screen "black out" / freeze, multiple times, so i must remove the battery and charger totally, to get it started again.

Also the machine get very hot after only 10 minute, you not want place it on your "lap" - shure not a Laptop machine this, unless u want your "eggs friend".....

I will not recommend Acer to anyone.

we call the court: "you must hire a Barrister at Law"

we call a 3 different Lawyers: "fee THB 100.000 +"

I know those under 50 or not married to a Thai have some difficulty, but every country's immigration laws adversly affect some people. Sad, but that's life. Quite frankly I think that the Thai Government could do more to accomodate these people. At the end of the day, however, it is their country and if foreigners want to live here they must respect the laws and customs of the land.

Anyone who cannot afford a return trip to their own country once a year to get the necessary visas cannot be in a position to contribute that much to the Thai ecconomy. Air fare are not that expensive these days.

Quite frankly some farang who cannot find some way to stay here legally have an inflated idea of their importance to the Thai ecconomy.

1: Some difficulty" ? I must soon leave Thailand. my girlfriend and baby bec I under 50 and "red stamp" already, and not get a NON imm visa in my country.

2: IF i go back home and apply, I get 2 entry tourist visa at best - and the travel + visa fee totals B 80.000. That's quit hefty for only 6 month stay in a third world country.(Can afford it - but is it worth it)

3:"contribute", well, I and most of my foreign friend transfer and spend 1-3 Million Baht every year. I guess each "contribute" more than 15-50 people from this country. Thailand not need? remember how it was here 10-20 years before?

This we all should do, instead of complaining here :

Send a written complaint to your Embassy (country of origin), explain the difficulties you meet with the never ending visa changes. When your embassy get enough complaints, I bet the embassy will make a formal "request" to the Thai Goverment, about their strict (failed) visa policy, and ask them to consider more "foreign friendly" changes.

You might say "they'll never change" but I bet more happend, than if we all just sit here and "weening" like a bunch of old women :-)

No there is no extension of stay available directly - but you can normally obtain a non immigrant O visa for 90 day visits.

If your name is on the birth certificate as the father it can be done.

Note , it is not a child support visa. It is an extension of stay enabeling your child to live with his elderly parent.

You really are getting all wound up and confused about nothing.

When your baby is born you can get a Non Imm O from Penang. Ok you will probably have to renew it every 3 months but you will be able to be with your baby. You will not need DNA tests.

Or if you wanted you can marry the Lady with very little problem. You do not need a lawyer, you can do it yourself. Then you could probably get a multi entry Non O.

My dear, it seems that you are not that an experienced traveller. If you can place a message on Thaivisa you should be

able to plan a flight from BKK to Heathrow or even Manchester. And you should know that flying in Europe is not that expensive.

In Manchester you rent a car, drive over to Hull (approx. 170 km one way) and you will very likely get that visa within 5 min. after

arrival. And who said you had to be 50 for a Multiple Non-O-Visa.

Then you drive back to Manchester the same day, stay overnight in a hotel nearby the airport and take your connecting flight the

the next day to whereever you want.

Now please read the Hull homepage I mentioned earlier, take that guarantee letter and Thai bank statement with you,

but most likely you will not need them.

You don't say for what reason you want a long stay in Thailand but...

Considering the expense of travelling to UK, car hire, taxis, hotels etc. I would think with all the budget travel in Asia these days it would be a lot cheaper to arrange your visas in Thailand's neighbouring countries. After all even with a multi entry Non Imm visa you will still have to make trips to a border, you may as well do the extra few kilos to a consulate and get a new visa.

Check this forum for the latest on which nearby consulates are currently issuing with ease.

The only way to make getting the visa in UK viable would be if you booked your trip to Thailand from UK and went to UK to get the visa on your way to the flight to Thailand. I believe prices out of UK are much more competitively priced than out of Scandinavia

Lets say that going to "neighbouring contries" is already done, and " a red stamp" saying "not more visa here" etc .............

This why I must go outside Asia.

My reason for long stay : been living here almost 10 years, but not 50 yrs yet.

Nearest airport to Hull is Humberside Airport, but you'd need to hire a car to get to the Embassy from there or take a (very expensive) taxi. And the only international flights are from Amsterdam.

A better option would be Manchester Airport, as there is a train route from the airport to Hull (change train at Manchester Piccadilly). You'll need to get a taxi from Hull station, though, as the embassy is in Hessle (about 5 miles away). I'm sure there are direct flights from all Scandi countries to Manchester. There are also heaps of cheap hotels in Hull.

Made the journey today to Birmingham, no appointment, got there sat in the reception and the guy collected my passport, 2 photos, a letter garaunteeing repatriation from my family and a fee of 105 pounds. No questions were asked and within 10 minutes i was given the 1 year multilple entry visa and i was on my merry way. Beauracracy made simple i was well impressed!!

Yes they do, here is living proof. I got a Multiple Non-O-Visa in August this year. I went to Hull personally, stayed with the facts when filling-in the application (visiting friends, looking into retirement, using my Swiss home address). Read the PDF-file in their Visa Application Pack (point 2) of their homepage and submit Application Form, Self-Certification Guarantee Form and Payment Form together with a recent picture of you and that should do it.

Since I do not know where you come from, I just recommend a financial statement from your local bank in English in your pocket would not be a bad move, just in case. But I can also tell you that there were no questions asked whatsoever.
