  1. Ah ok, the metal brackets must be screwed into the wall then. But there are only two at the left and two at the bottom. I am pretty sure the sealant is also adding a lot of support. Anyway the top pole only has sealant at both ends - not screwed into the wall. Yes the sealant is rubbery to the touch. I bought some silcone sealant at Mr DIY and it was nothing like this - it was similar to what you get back in the UK at B&Q. This sealant seems a lot more heavy duty, so was wondering what product it was.
  2. I have just realised that our Thailand condo shower screen is not actually bolted to the floor or wall. Instead they appear to have used to some clear thick glue sealant. See picture. I realised because one end of the top pole has come unstuck. This does not appear to be normal silcone sealant of the type I used back in the UK to make the shower tray water tight. But some type of glue sealant holds the pole, the U clamps and the whole screen in place (hopefully!). What is this stuff called and where in Thailand can I buy it?
  3. My UK Wise card stopped working with Bolt and Counter Services (for PEA). Still works fine for Lazada, Scoot and DTAC etc. So I signed up for TrueMoney. I selected unemployed (no retired option) put my home address as work address, provided copy of Passport, and Thai Driving licence. Was approved the same day. Topped some money to my TrueWallet and was able to pay: • PEA Bill Payment • DTAC Top Up I also created a TrueMoney virtual MasterCard and was able to register this with Bolt and pay for rides. The only issue I am having is scanning QR codes. A few bills in bars that I have tried scanning the QR code and it comes up with error, "For Thais only". However in a resturant yesterday I scanned the QR code and it let me pay. It would seem not all QR codes are the same. Anyone know the difference? (This is exactly what I found in Singapore, with Scan to Pay. After launching with much fanfare Wise quietly withdrew their "Pay like a Local" in Singapore. So I ended up using Grab Wallet in Singapore to pay using QR codes a Hawker Centres. However certain types of QR codes are not supported by Grab Wallet. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g294265-i1748-k14229104-o10-Common_cashless_option_in_Singapore-Singapore.html)
  4. Yes I am confused - thanks for putting me straight. I think I will try Jomtiem at 40 days because after this I am travelling for a few weeks. If not will have to do it in the last week. > And you could have just made a new post asking rather than > dredging up one from 2021 ???? This thread is in the top results for Google search. For Joe User like me its frustrating that searches return old forum threads while new forum threads take ages to get indexed. So old info is out there for longer. An updated old thread kinda seems like having all the info in the same place. But I am noob so will take your advice and create new posts in future. Thanks again.
  5. Did you ever manage to confirm this for Jomtien Immigration? If its 30 days before but not within 15days before expirey only gives a 2 week window for renewal!
