Thank you everyone for the replies. I found an option that suited me. I decided to go with FTV (Friendly Thai Visa) and they will arrange a taxi to pick me up from my place tomorrow morning to go to the Cambodian border and back with all the usual assistance and lunch provided. Cost is 6,000 Baht which I found pretty fair. I will give details about my experience tomorrow after I'm back in case it helps others in the future.

Do you have any recommendations ? I also want the company to assist during the border crossing for making the Cambodian visa if possible

Hello all, I am planning to do a visa run to Cambodia this weekend from an agency. I have done a few in the past but would like to get a more comfortable experience this time. I see that from Pattaya, there are some 5-6 seaters van options that look nice, but can only find the 9-10 seaters options leaving from Bangkok for about 3,500B Only luxurious option I found in Bangkok was TVC that charges 9,000. All good but their next trip is on Feb 15th which is beyond my extension of stay's expiry date. Does anyone know of a company that provide such services in Bangkok with comfortable minivans at a higher price? Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for all the answers! I gave him all the info I got here and let's see what he plans on doing. He is leaning toward having her come back on a visa of parent supporting a child studying in Thailand. The kids' school can do all paperwork for them and he will transfer her the necessary funds for her to keep long enough in an account and then she'll try to get it done in Jakarta. It won't be soon, but I'll post an update when all is over. Have a great day!

Writing for a friend: - Swiss national living in Thailand with a non O visa based on retirement. - his wife is Indonesian, currently living in Indonesia. She used to stay here for a year with visa exempts and border runs. She almost wasn't allowed back in last time so decided to return to Indonesia. It's been almost 3 months. She is below 50 years old. - They have 2 Children studying in Thailand. How should my friend proceed to bring his wife back? Can she be dependent of his retirement visa? What documents would she need? I know she can also apply for parent of child studying here. She required to have I think 4-500k in an account for a month. What would you gentlemen advise him to do? Try to do one of these 2 visas from Thai embassy in Jakarta? Or try to come back tp Thailand with a visa exempt or tourist visa and apply for a long term extension here? Is it even possible?
