  1. Briefly, my father is ill and I have to return to australia before my Non B/Retirement Visa is due for renewal/extension (May 2, 2012). I do not think I will be back before may 2 so I need to know if I can go to immigration now and extend my visa (almost 11 weeks early), I use the bank balance/income method.....so before I head off to the aust embassy in bkk for the stat dec I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

  2. Considering buying a new car and while Toyotas are so boring I actually like the look of the new Vios, have driven a rental, and have seriously investigated, however I notice that half the range does NOT have an/or airbag/s which, I reckon, is unimpressive. Airbag technology used to be expensive, now production is cheap, and I think this is very cynical on Toyota's behalf....of course I can buy the model with airbags, but at least driver/passenger airbags should be standard for ALL buyers, not just those of us in this community who can pay a bit extra! The competition in this price range seem to have at least one airbag (and I stand corrected), but I think this is very ordinary, Toyota!

  3. hi there

first post for me so please be kind....In pattaya, and also having problems with torrent downloads with tot, I spoke to some thai friends of mine a day or so ago, and they are having no problems, they seem to think because they use a thai server (? i think that is what they said), whereas most of us foreigners use international servers (to download our favourite tv shows etc)so maybe tot are just limiting the international traffic?? Hey, this is all way over my head, I am just pretty annoyed with what is going on, and honestly I dont really care about the technical stuff, I think if tot want to mess with my service they should let me know beforehand, then I can decide if I want to continue with them or not. Of course, this assumes this is a tot decision, their 1100 staff seem to think not.

  4. Hello all

This is my first post, so please bear with me. I want to buy a house in the Jomtien/south of Jomtien area, however to do so I first need to sell my apartment, which is also in the Jomtien area. I am looking for an enthusiastic, pro active agent. I have approached a couple of agents, and the response has been pretty lack lustre at best. I am having trouble even getting them here to value the place, I have a value in mind, which I dont think is unrealistic, and I am well aware of the difficulties faced in selling properties here at present. I worked in the real estate industry in a previous life (I was not in sales) and I know that when a client arrived with a listing, they were welcomed with enthusiasm. After all, no listings = no sales = no commission. Maybe the problem here is too many properties to list, or coming onto the market in the future. Anyway, any suggestions or recommendations appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  5. I disagree with the two previous posts, I think Ssangyong are a reputable company, I know earlier versions had DaimlerBenz mechanicals, not sure about the latest models. Also, I applaud Ssangyong for trying to be a bit different style wise, and I for one will contemplate a Ssangyong at my next trade time. So tired of Toyota design, too safe, and I personally think the Vigo a terrible design attempt, but being a Toyota of course it will be a success. Much prefer the avant garde style of the new Mitsu Triton, also the older style of the current Isuzu/Chev pick up.

  6. Hi, I am moving to Pattaya end of december on 12 month non immigrant multiple entry visa and have been told by australian travel agent I will need Cambodian visa when I do the 90 day visa run.

Not sure if this sounds correct to me, but can someone help? And the procedure at the Border? Really appreciate any response, thanks.
