By the time any of you old Kodgers have to legally get a tax number and file a return in Thailand you will be brown bread the enthusiasm from our DIM USA folk probably ex prefects you know the type! This thread and the stress of your worrying will take another 6 months off your days. nothing has changed except your delusional interpretation of a short statement of a loophole being tightened up aimed at the super rich Thai not farangs buying condos and spending there few million baht a year here! THIS IS THAILAND not the USA thank F,,,,,,,CK for that,

A bit disappointed my estimated 200 pages of crap scaremongering and total delusion on this thread may not reach it's target come on USA expats your dying to pay taxes here get queuing at the tax office beg for your TN get your accountant and documents translated and verified transfer millions of BAHT before the Jan 1st deadline hurry you know it makes sense! still have no takers on my bet of nobody being forced to get a TN number next year or having to submit a tax return here by law I wonder why 😁

There will be no announcements or clarification on this subject anytime soon ! Anyone one willing to bet nothing will change or happen in the next year or even five years, or even ever , no one I've talked too will take a bet with me because they know it's delusional hype whipped up mainly by those kind of expats who constantly moan about visas and red tape frankly the type I wish would go back to there home countries USA citizens especially! will any of us be paying tax in Thailand next year? NO not next year or ever unenforceable if you believe otherwise your a C,,,,,,NT

Still the delusional scaremongering continues nothing is going to happen for years your moaning and whining is hilarious to me I can understand our very dim USA citizens who seem to be obsessed with doing everything by the book! The reality this is Thailand ain't nothing gonna change anytime soon rest assured and get back to drinking and shagging

Well I see the hysteria is heating up an another thread has been started on the same subject my prediction of 200 pages of crap will be an underestimate with the 2 threads! Another official making a statement on the previous officials INTERPRETATION of the 38 year old law! the only thing that will happen is a statement probably next year confirming nothing is going to change, when you all realise that enforcement of regulations would be nigh on impossible that the legal regulations would take years to pass into law it's laughable a huge amount of money is invested in property and buissines by foreign investors 20 %. of all property in Bangkok alone do you not tHINK about the massive bank run before he 1st July 2024 that would happen! it so simple to get Around even if it was applied here, and it will never be, only a complete tool couldn't work that out and of course the nice but dumb yanks

still a lot of delusional expats debating a non story my prediction of 200 pages of crap by Xmas looks like an underestimate , the law HASTNT changed and has been in place for decades!!!! A Statement of 2 paragraphs by an Advisory board has got you loosing your small minds, nothing will change for 99,9% Of all expats, A top legal firm in Bangkok has quoted it would need up to 30000 pages of legislation written up to implement the kind of taxation you fear so much it would also need 1000s of new staff to deal with it is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN FOR ANOTHER DECADE AT LEAST mark my words, and even if t did happen if you can't work out how easy it would be to avoid tax you DESERVE TO PAY IT ,

I predicted a 100 pages of <deleted>e and I was right I'm now predicting 200 pages by December it's comical to me I will say it again 99.9 % Of expats won't be paying any tax none! You are deluded if you think any different it will take years or even a decade to produce legislation to implement a complex minefield of regulations globally tens of thousands of documents would have to be drawn up, so far 2 paragraphs by an advisory board has got you in a frenzy nothing is going to change just like your weekly pledge to stop drinking or bargirl hunting so get over it and back on the piss
-
unbelievable waffle what are you all smoking! some insane claims on here! bearing in mind no official clarification of anything yet NONE we will all have to file a tax return to renew our visas???? a complete <deleted>, we will have to prove it's money from savings!!!! everyone will have to register for a tax code number in Thailand!!!! laughable, international money transfers will be taxed and the Thai bank on arrival and steal your money then you have to prove it's saving or been taxed already !!!!! Delusional oh and don't forget your going to have to get all your documents translated to Thai and employ an accountant anyone who thinks thats going to happen in Thailand is a complete C,,,,,,,,,NT
-
Congratulations as I predicted this would reach 100 pages of guesswork and fear mongering, let me say it one more time 99,9% of all expats will not pay a penny of tax here , the clarification will come last minute Thai style as usual, some of the drivel spouted in here is comical and absurd the law HASTNT changed and a single statement of an official has you <deleted>ting yourselves especially are dopey USA citizens think about what you are saying for god sake,
-
As predicted getting closer to the magic 100 pages of delusional guesswork from a statement from a Thai official from a law that's been around for several decades, listen up THE LAW HASTNT CHANGED !!!! it's taken twenty years to try and implement a tourist tax FFS, there's nearly 200 countries with a dual tax agreement 99.9% of expats won't have to do anything some kind of hysteria has taken over you, complete madness even if it were true if you can't work out how not to pay any taxes here your a complete fool, luckily you won't need too because it ain't happening for expats any time in your sad complaining old lives get back to the Samsung and lao Khao and pretending you can still get it up your Thai girlfriend
-
Will be up to a 100 pages of guesswork and hearsay soon 555 I will say it again anybody who believes that your pension will be taxed is a fool! Anybody who believes all transfers to your Thai bank from overseas will be taxed at source is delusional! Anyone who actually sincerely believes that every expat and foreign resident of Thailand will have register for. A tax code and submit tax returns in Thailand is mentally retarded, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN
