  1. He was actually kept in Thailand for another 2 months after he was released on bail as the police never finished the case. The police said he was not to go home. He was, and still is, a very sick man after his stroke, brainbleed and brain/ blood clot surgery. He did not get any better after the treatment he received one day after coming home from a 4 weeks hospital stay. We had to travel over to help him, and he had us siblings staying with him till he finally travelled home.

We just had to get him out of there before his health deteriorated even more, as there was always a new excuse form the police why he could  not get the paper he needed to get back home without being terrified he would end up in jail again. We were told so many times there was no case against him so we knew it would not be a problem to just leave, but he was very worried he would be stopped and be thrown back in jail. We thankfully managed to convince him it would be ok . He had been tortured enough living through this dreadful time despite doing absolutely nothing wrong but being very sick.

There are still way too many papers out there with no updated info after they all accused him of murder, that is the reason we need to get the correct info out as much as possible. Thank you for reading.

The Norwegian man who was initially suspected of murdering his partner in northern Thailand returned yesterday to Norway. The Norwegian left Thailand before the case was formally closed. According to the police in Chiang Mai, that doesn’t pose a problem.

Police Colonel Puwanart Duangdee informed ScandAsia that the decision to drop the charges against the Norwegian was made several days ago, but there were a few technicalities to address.

“The papers will formally be signed this week, but that is a formality. He has been cleared of any suspicion of involvement,” Duangdee said.

The suspect was initially apprehended on October 3, accused of using a meat ax to fatally attack his boyfriend in a small town near Chiang Mai. After spending four days in custody, he was subsequently released on bail.

Yet he was able to commit a murder?

Being his sister I can give you all some PROPER information on this case, as it is nothing but a nightmare my very sick brother has ended up in in this country, and all these lies and misinformation that are circulating in the media over there is nothing but bl..dy appalling!! Makes us all sick!

He was released from hospital 2 days before this crazy thing happened, after nearly dying from a massive stroke from a bloodclot, that caused him to fall and get a brainbleed on top of everything. He was in intensive care for 3 weeks before he was moved to different department. He has had brain surgery, as well as surgery to remove a bloodclot from his leg. He is paralyzed on his right side, therefor can not walk, as well as he got afasi, meaning he has massive problems speaking, and understanding properly.  He also have problems with his memory.  He does NOT have HIV, nor ALS. Just more lies about him.

So yes, this is the "MURDERER" so many dare call this poor sick man, who is the nicest person in this world and has NEVER hurt anyone in his whole life. He has wasted all he had on helping all his socalled Thai friends, hundreds of thousands of Norwegian kr, never a no  from him if anyone needed anything. This is the type of person my brother is, and we are totally shocked by the awful treatment he has received in this country. We only wish we can get him out from there and back home to proper care and traing after his stroke. Never had any want to go to Thailand myself but have always warned against this dangerous corrupted country and lack of proper system, so sad it had to come to this for me to be proven right. So a good idea to read Thai news after a handful of salt first, they are lying their heads off.

Gotta say, with Thailand's defamation laws, I'd seriously reconsider the title.  He's been accused of murder, maybe even arrested for murder.

But did he really?  And how much liability is there if his story pans out?  (I doubt the ol' "we just reprint from our sources" would be much of a shield.)

if he had brainbleed and loss of memory, then anything he said during interrogation cannot be assumed to be accurate?

I guess you don't want to speculate on a public forum what you think happened since you're related to him..

Yes, you are right, he has massive problems even with his Norwegian, not to mention trying in English. According to my brother his partner had people after him, probably loan sharks or god only knows what. My brother being in hospital for so long and not able to provide his Thai partner money might be the reason he needed the money. Thai partner did not work, just living of my brothers disability pension from Norway. That is all I know.

Well if what his sister wrote is true, than it seems very unlikely, if not impossible that he could have overwhelmed and stabbed to death a normal, healthy, younger man.

The word she was looking for is aphasia. Maybe that is why they are saying he is changing his story.  And possible that he can’t even walk and that is why neighbors found him crawling outside afterwards?

Maybe the victim had a lover who did not expect the Norwegian man to recover and come home.  The lover came over and had a confrontation or just decided to kill him.  Drunken rage?  Didn’t a German guy experience something like that …he stabbed to death his wife’s lover who jumped their wall and decided to have it out with her one night?  I never have heard what happened with that.  She tried to say it was a burglar.

Thank you, it most certainly is true. And thank you for correcting my Norwegian writing of aphasia, sorry just too upset to realise that, but seems I can not edit it now.
