Yup, those solicitors didn't get their reputation by being honest. They probably have an office party after muggins gives them a whole heap of loot to evade the law.

Top of my list of people not to trust would be lawyers/ solicitors, and second is Thai wives.

Made up a story about being kidnapped!

A recent incident involving a young Englishman claiming abduction for ransom has led to a collaborative effort between the Royal Thai Police (RTP) and Interpol.

The unfolding drama occurred as the man, accompanied by four foreign friends, was residing in a Pattaya hotel room, reported Daily News.

During a subsequent police search, both narcotics and unregistered firearms were discovered. Allegedly, the group had fabricated a kidnapping story to extort money from their families, unaware of the serious consequences they would face.

On January 26, Pol. Lt. Gen. Tetsakan Sathasivan, RTP Commissioner, issued a directive for a crackdown, supervised by Pol. Col. Montree Thetkhan, Deputy Commander of RTP, and Pol. Lt. Col. Sarawut Saengjun, Commander of Special Operations Unit 2.

The operation resulted in the apprehension of Mr. Ian and Mr. Damien, British nationals facing charges of drug possession and illegal firearm possession. Another Englishman, Mr. Darren, is similarly charged with drug-related offenses.

The investigation disclosed that the group, grappling with financial difficulties during their prolonged stay in Thailand, devised a plan to deceive their families into sending money by fabricating a kidnapping.

Despite uncovering drugs and firearms in the hotel room, the police operation found no evidence of an actual abduction. The suspects now await legal proceedings under Thai law.

Having been a law enforcement officer for 30 years in the States, I know all too well you don’t carry or tuck a handgun in the small of your back an rely on your belt an trousers to keep the handgun secure. Many holster makers or manufacturers offer secure concealed inside your pants type of undercover or off duty holsters. Try running or even doing simple yet silly back flips without a handgun being secured in a holster. Unsecured handguns with or without an exposed hammer can easily be accidentally discharged by doing simple but stupid tricks. Individual departments or agencies provide policies regarding the carrying of concealed weapons both on duty and off duty. Violations of your department or agency’s policies and procedures could cost you your job or you being subject to disciplinary action or both not to mention the civil liabilities you’d face in regards to negligence…

Hand guns in the movies seem to sit under their belts in all sorts of acrobatic moves..
