  1. It was right front of my eyes in their hands, I asked them if they were speaking Thai, I insisted and finally got it.
  2. It went ok, they don't speak even a hi our movement of the head or anything, they just wave with their hands to tell you to come or to f off, both side of the border. I wonder if the more you smile the more they know how much you are ready to beg them to see your family again. Anyway, Cambodian IO wanted 1500 bahts, didn't care about the 30$, I managed to make him understand that I was ready to pay the corruption fine but to accept the 30$, once I put 400 bahts next to it he was ok. Next was the arrival boot, another one, he showed me a card without explaining anything, I told him ok please give it to me I will fill it immediately, he waved his hand to say no, he managed to say 2 and I managed to understand he meant 200 bahts, I insisted to fill the card myself but as he became aggressive I gave the 200. They would not speak on the Thai side either, busy eating or playing games on their mobiles, as I asked for the TM 6 and got no answers, I asked if they could speak Thai (in Thai), they got a little surprised but went back ignoring me. In total I paid 1700 bahts instead of the 2500 bahts asked by the agent that you are forced to deal with when you give your passport to the departure Thai IO. Took only 30 minutes, they treat everyone like they or POS so nothing personal.
  3. I managed to get only 30 dollars exchange at the bank. The banks around here were out of dollars. Hopefully they will accept the corruption fee in bahts, I will show that it's supposed to be 30 $ on the government website then offer 300 for the corruption fee and another 300 for the I don't want to sleep in Cambodia fee. Will see if they are nice enough to accept this or get greedy and hold me for the night there.
  4. They, the immigration officers. Corruption fee any fee that is not legally obliged I suppose, is the 300 bahts to don't have to sleep in Cambodia an official rule? if not then let say a bribe or a corruption fee, call it what you want, nothing unusual and quite expected I know but still corruption. If it's actually written somewhere and official then indeed I'm wrong.
  5. So they won't accept dollars at Ban Laem? their fee is the corruption fee for not staying 1 night in Cambodia or an additional one?
  6. From Rayong, I will go to Ban Laem and bring 40$ + 300 bahts for corruption fee.
  7. Thanks for the warning, I cross it out of my list. What about Ban Laem? vs Cham Yeam
  8. The 2 other alternatives are Poipet and Cham Yeam, Cham Yeam is a bit far and apparently Poipet as bad reputation. Maybe I have to make peace with losing one more passport page...
  9. Thank you, if I go to another border (accepting e-visa) do you think I still have time to get it before Sunday if I apply now?
  10. Thanks, so no problem going there on Sunday? I will prepare 40$ and 300 bahts for the corruption fee (night in Cambodia rule) I have never used E-visa, does it save you a passport page?
  11. and by paying 30$ (or 40$) that's ok or you mean they don't give visa there?
  12. From Thailand Ban Laem to Cambodia Daung Kamrieng
  13. Hi, I have to leave the country on 21 July and I planned to pass by the Cambodian border at Ban Laem. Is it too late for a E-visa? no problem to pass on Sunday? Will they still eat one passport page with E visa? What happened if I decide to pay the 30$ required and show them the requirement from the Cambodian embassy website instead of the 40$ they want?
  14. I'm under 50, if I can't get an extension, could I make a new visa based on father of a Thai kid? and where would I need to go?
  15. Thank you for your answer, if I divorce soon, can I switch to visiting my kids or getting an extension based on father of Thai national?
  16. Hi, I got a one year non O based on marriage obtain without the 400k (Savannakhet) that will end in late August 2024 and my 3 months extension (every 3 months have to get out of Thailand) will expire end of July 2024. When getting out next time is the immigration going to give me 3 months again? can I also extend again with 2 months visit my wife? I could also get 1 year extension based on my salary (above 40k monthly without the 400k)
  17. no, need appointment at the embassy to make the copy certified then bring it to be translated which can take a day then go back with another appointment to the embassy on another very different day then at Lak Si again to get the copy certified too, Lak Si can take the full day so better to go very early morning.
  18. Hi, Did anyone divorced without a legalised passport translation? I found the following on internet: The required documents for the uncontested divorce are as follows: If divorcing at the same Amphoe as the marriage was registered: Marriage certificates Identification card (Thai spouse) Tabien Baan for the (Thai spouse) Passport (foreign spouse) If divorcing at a different Amphoe: Marriage certificates Identification card (Thai spouse) Tabien Baan for the (Thai spouse) Passport (foreign spouse) Legalised translation of the foreigner’s passport The legalised translation of the foreigner passport is really a pain in the ass, taking long time and I'm far from BKK, I would have to go and back few times. It seems straight forward and easy to go to the Amphoe as the marriage was registered. Do I have to get an appointment for this? is there an official form to fill?
  19. I have no idea what you are on, I suppose you are just losing face and trying anything to don't look bad but you don't kidnap your own children and I'm asking about parents right and law, nowhere did I say I want to do something illegal but I guess you run out of anything to say. Who will not want to protect their child from an unstable person and I already explained that I have no problem for her to keep the children as long as she is sound of mind and not exposing them to danger as she did before.
  20. Poor gold diggers, really a hard life, desperately gambling away a fortune and spending their life in shopping mall buying hand bags to help their family home. They need a lot of handbags and jewellery at home, also this poor gold diggers need the last new lips, boobs and botox available for survival purpose. Sleeping all day long is their way to fight for the future. Indeed you are right it's definitively the OP fault...
  21. I don't think you can legally own a house in Thailand, a condo yes but a house? house and land 100% yours? if yes then again you would own the Chanote and without it she can't make credit. Now if you bought a house for her during marriage you are in theory entitled to half but indeed the court is not always fair with men and probably even less with foreigners here.
  22. @Hummin my guess is that it would be for her to prove it was family purpose, so she would need maybe the school bill, house furniture bill etc. You said "Such as bank loans, lease, and also criminal economic charges" it doesn't sound like family purpose. And the probabilities for this kind of Thai women to spend on their kids, especially knowing that there is a responsible Farang behind, are really thins. Now if she made a loan to pay for the school and take care of their common children if they have, then OP should be more comfortable with this idea.
  23. "After you get married, you are only responsible for your spouse’s debt if you and your spouse open a joint credit card or co-sign a loan. If both of your names are on the credit card’s account, you are responsible for paying off any debts that your spouse has on that credit card and vice versa." "Any created debts used by her personally or for her personal amusement (gambling), and not in any way for joint or family purposes, are her personal debts and not marital debts. Only common or debts incurred for family purposes are basically the responsibility of both spouses under Thai family laws."
  24. maybe it would be good to double check before posting, it would be unfortunate if someone was taking your words as advise.
