  1. Hi everyone, I currently hold a DTV visa and I'm wondering about the practicality of traveling to Laos and Vietnam with my vehicles (a Toyota Corolla, Honda PCX, or Kawasaki Ninja 250R). Is it relatively easy to cross borders with these vehicles under my name? Or would it be simpler if I registered them under my girlfriend’s name instead? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!
  2. really? because I read in Facebook many people pulled a side and got interrogated, but worst case scenario I guess the will send me back to Laos, so I might give it a try. thanks mate.
  3. Hi everyone, I already have the DTV visa and I’m currently in Laos. I’d like to use an agent for a safe entry into Thailand. Do I need to fly into Bangkok for this, or is it possible to do it via a land border? In the past, I paid around 6,000 THB for a safe entry via Bangkok airport when coming from Cambodia (for a 60-day tourist visa), and it went smoothly. I’d prefer to pay and avoid the stress if possible. Thanks in advance for your help!
  4. Thank you so much for your help. Yes, they are not cheap. But I wanna make sure I get the visa 🙏
  5. Cambodia. They’re taking care of everything. The reviews are really good—actually, a bit too good. That’s why I’m a little suspicious... 555
  6. Hi everyone! Has anyone here used the services of Elite International Concierge? Run by a guy named Adam, I'm considering using them to help with my DTV visa application and would really appreciate any feedback. Are they legit and trustworthy? Thanks in advance!
  7. Hello everyone, I have a gig that pays me around $1,500 USD per month, and I usually receive the payments into my Wise account. The company that pays me is based in Singapore. I'm considering getting the DTV visa and staying in Thailand for more than 180 days in a calendar year. My question is: would it be legal to receive these payments directly into a Thai bank account, issue invoices to my client, and pay taxes in Thailand accordingly? I don’t mind paying taxes—I just want to make sure this kind of setup is compliant with Thai regulations. Thanks in advance for any insights!
  8. Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the financial requirement for the DTV visa. My funds are currently spread across multiple bank accounts outside of Thailand. I already have a Krungsri account that I opened years ago when I was on an ED visa. Would it be acceptable to transfer 500,000 THB to my Thai bank account while applying, in order to meet the financial requirement? Or do they allow proof of funds from overseas accounts instead? Has anyone gone through this process successfully? Thanks in advance for your insights!
  9. Hey everyone, First off, I want to sincerely thank you all for the support and for being such an amazing community—I really appreciate it! My friend recently did something similar in Pattaya. He stayed there for a month, got a TM30 from his hotel, and immigration issued him a residence certificate. With that, he was able to renew his driver’s license for 2 years. I’m considering doing the same. I also reached out to a shop I found on the forums, and they offered to renew both my bike and car licenses in just one day for 2 years at 8,500 THB (I’ll share the link as well somewhere on the post). I’ll keep researching and will update you all soon. Thanks again!
  10. Hi everyone, The transportation office wouldn’t let me renew my driving license without a residence certificate. Unfortunately, the TM-30 isn’t enough, and immigration told me that I can’t get a residence certificate with a tourist visa. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of a solution, please let me know! I don’t mind traveling to other provinces if needed, but if it’s too much of a hassle, I’ll just get a long-term visa and put an end to this saga. I just want to make sure I’m covered in case of an accident. Thanks so much for all your help!
  11. Thanks, mate! I really appreciate the valuable information. I’m currently staying in Mukdahan, right across the border, with my girlfriend. I wouldn’t mind spending a few days or even weeks in Laos—I’ve got friends there and a bike to get around. I’ll try renewing my driving license with the tourist visa, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll just pay for the one-year option. That’s life, I guess! Thanks again for all your help; this website is an absolute gem—way better than Facebook. Cheers! 🙏
