  1. I guess you should address that question to Thai immigration at BKK airport
  2. The problem is that just because I ask a question everyone thinks I am in a particular situation. It’s not the case I just want to be clear what happens in certain situations 🤷‍♂️
  3. It’s not the same at all if a re-entry permit is not obtained when the checking staff eventually turn up (in your scenario) they will eventually check me in and my flight will leave. Upon return to Thailand with no re-entry permit I get the visa waiver 60 days and have to start the Non-O process from scratch 🥴.
  4. This post was just out of an academic interest in what might happen if the booth was not manned no more really 🥴
  5. Well I am glad I asked. I thought they just stamped your passport and you were good to go (and come back of course). Can you download the form and supply your own passport sized photo?
  6. I understand that it is possible to get a re-entry visa before departure at BKK airport. My worry would always be if the re-entry desk was unmanned for any reason my non-o visa application process would have to start from scratch upon my return 🤷‍♂️
  7. If my visa extension is not approved that would be the plan. I am thinking now that I will return home on 23rd April and return 2 months later with a new passport and before I leave Thailand move my funds to a new bank. I do not want any trace of an agent on my documents 😡
  8. Yes I am thanks. As I said in my earlier thread I have kept a balance of 800,000 THB in my account since 18 January 2024 so all should be fine the only concern that I had was the fact that I did use an agent in the past and if that could be an issue.
  9. Yes but because I have a re-entry visa the only way this can work is if I leave Thailand on the 23 April and return on the 24 April or later. I live in Thailand.
  10. How do I kill it off🤷‍♂️
  11. The agent obtained this at CW it was part of the fee. I have got this stamped in my passport. Expiry date 23 April 2025. On my last return in August 2024 I was on the non-O visa.
  12. I am a little confused now. The multi entry was obtained at CW on 23 April 2024 🤷‍♂️
  13. Thanks for that Dr Jack and to be clear I do have a multi-entry I go back to the UK at least twice a year 👍
  14. In Bangkok but the question is if a run is necessary which country would be the least hassle.
  15. I may need to do a Visa run soon as my Non-O retirement visa extension expires on 23 April 2025 and there is a possibility that a further extension may not be granted. The thing is that I have a multiple-entry visa so I will have to leave on the 23 April and return on a visa exemption the next or subsequent day. Which is the least stressful border to leave and re-enter Bangkok.
  16. My situation is that I can give them the 12 month statements which will show the 3 months after the previous extension which will obey all the rules. I can also give them my current passbook which will show the 2 months prior to the requested extension which will obey all the rules. My original passbook will also show the two months prior to extension which will obey all the rules. I just don’t want the IO to look at 800,000 THB deposit/withdrawal in the passbook which should be irrelevant for this new extension. It’s probably an impossible question to answer on here since it all depends on the IO that sits in front of me on the day 🤷‍♂️
  17. Ok the question is will it be sufficient to show the 12 month statements and a current passbook that will show the 2 months prior to extension but not the 3 months after the previous extension. The statement will show the 3 month after extension but my current passbook will not. I do not want to show the previous passbook since it will show the original agent 800,000THB deposit and immediate withdrawal even though from a timeline perspective it should be irrelevant 🤷‍♂️
  18. Will it be sufficient to show 12 month statement and my second passbook which started in October 2024 so will not show the 3 months after the April 2024 extension?
  19. Could you give me some examples? Thanks
  20. Well I hope now all the paperwork is in order the extension should not be an issue if I do it myself 🤷‍♂️
  21. Well I am physically and mentally able to do it myself and have no wish to pay an agent a considerable sum of money to do it for me. I used an agent for my first non-O retirement visa which was a bad mistake. I should have just got the agent to open a bank account for me and I could have done the rest. However I got him to open an account for me and then immediately apply for the Non-O visa. This proved to be a problem when I tried to do the first extension myself as you will read earlier in this thread.
  22. Ok sorry I do understand now. I thought the extra 6 months would not be a problem. So you suggest requesting a 12 month statement from my branch about a week before my appointment? Does it have to be my branch or can I use any branch?
  23. Yes I have booked an appointment on the 10 March 👍
  24. Looking back at my previous extension application I notice that I only asked for 6 months worth of statements and not 12. I assume that 12 months won’t be a problem if they can provide 6 months ?
