Yes my 800,000 minimum started on Jan 4th 2024. Could my Non-O extension this year be compromised by the fact the original ‘agent obtained’ Non-O visa did not have the 800,000THB in my account 🤔 -

So what you are saying is that if you start with an agent then the first extension request will fail if you try to do it yourself. I am hoping that subsequent extension requests if I do them myself will not be an issue as long as I have adhered to the rules regarding the balance amounts and durations necessary before and after renewal? -

Bangkok bank has a branch on the ground floor at CW so I just went in, waited a little after taking a queue ticket and asked for the letter and last 12 months of statements. As I recall they charged either 200 or 300 THB for the service. With regard to the agent original Non-O application my point was that if the rules state unequivocally that the 800,000 THB has to be in the account for the 3 months immediately after the granting of the extension then this condition could not possibly be met since the 800,000 THB was only in for 5 seconds even before the process had begun. In other words at the moment of application for the Non-O visa I did have any money in my account at all. I think the point that you are making perhaps is the the agent is able to bypass the 800,000 THB rule? -

Yes thanks for the warning. My replacement passbook has the two months prior to my 2024 renewal and is greater than 800,000 THB. I will get the Bangkok bank branch in CW to provide the letter and statements. They did this for me on my failed attempt last year. It’s a little annoying really because the first extension should never have been allowed since the 800,000 THB was clearly not going to be maintained for the first 3 months. Why wait until the next extension to highlight the issue? -

I will provide my passbook and get the bank to provide last 12 month statements and get the bank letter. I was planning to make a 100 tHB withdrawal on the day. Is a deposit better? The agent I used opened my bank account with his own 800,000 THB and withdrew it 5 seconds later in 2023 and did my first Non-O visa for me. I tried to extend it myself in 2024 but of course I failed because of the 3 month rule i.e the 800,000 baht was only in the account for 5 seconds not 3 months after the extension. The passbook that showed the original 800,000 THB deposit and withdrawal is now full so hopefully they will not ask to see that. It should not make any difference but you never know. -

I am with Bangkok Bank (800,000 THB method). Does the map have to be hand drawn? I was going to print out a google map. I live in a prominent tower block in a busy part of the city. I guess the hand drawn map is appropriate if you live in an obscure narrow soi off the beaten track? Thanks for the feedback 👍 -

It will soon be time for my Non-O retirement visa extension at CW. I have gathered together what I believe are the necessary documents and paperwork. My question is if it is better to present the folder containing this material en-masse and allow the IO to slog through it or maybe ask politely what they would like to see 🤷♂️ -
@Sheryl You may find their response to my inquiry of interest below. Not sure that all the pre-op work is strictly necessary Also note that Dr Roy will not resume his activities until 6 May 2025. Thank you very much for your interest in our hospital. We recommend the patient to make an examination appointment first in order to discuss about the surgery. The first meeting with the doctor is a primary general eye examination which is starting from THB 4,500 (not including medication and special investigation) the doctor will check about the patient's eye conditions and plan for the surgery in further. Pre-operation for cataract surgery, there will mainly be an examination. Electrocardiography (EKG), check blood sugar values, check complete blood count (CBC). Other examinations must wait to see a doctor to be evaluated again. The estimated costs for Cataract Surgery / Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) start for THB 90,000 per eye. The estimated cost of the cataract surgery / RLE as following: 1) Monofocal lens is start THB 90,000 + * per eye 2) Toric lens (for astigmatism) is start THB 130,000 + * per eye 3) Multifocal lens is start from THB 130,000 – 170,000+ * per eye Please note that these are estimates only, not a guarantee of costs. We will provide you with a better estimate after our ophthalmologists have evaluated you. Full deposit of maximum estimated surgery cost requires to be placed on surgery date. Choosing a cataract lens depends on many personal factors, you and your physician will work together to determine the perfect lens for you. Hospital admission is not needed for this type of surgery. However, the patient has to stay in Bangkok for 7-10 days for the operation and post operative follow up. For new patients contacting us for an appointment, please provide us with the information as follows. 1. Name (First/ Middle/ Last): 2. Gender: 3. Nationality: 4. Date of Birth (Date/ Month/ Year) : 5. Phone number: 6. Hospital No.(if any): 7. Date of appointment and time : 8. Doctor/Specialist Name (if any): We regret to inform you that Dr. Roy is on an extended leave starting from Christmas Eve this year and will resume his practice on Tuesday, 6th May 2025. 9. Eye symptom: 10. Medical Report (if any):

TM30 Provision

Thanks for this Rob. If I register myself and print off that registration presumably the IO will do a cross check with the landlord’s registration to make sure there are no inconsistencies 🤷♂️ -
Wondering if it’s possible to access this database as a Tenant and print off a copy of the filed TM30.

90 day reporting at CW
Nowaythatsreal replied to Nowaythatsreal's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just returned from CW. It looked like everyone was being asked for their T30 and copies of the relevant passport pages were not required. All done in a couple of minutes, excluding the 4 hour wait of course 👍 -

Many thanks 👍 -
I have recently had my online 90 day reporting filing rejected. I did not realise that the first 90 day report for each and every Non O extension cannot be done online. This was not made clear on the rejection email just the standard please Please contact the nearest Immigration Office in person immediately. Anyway, can anyone tell me apart from the completion of the TM47 form what other documentation they will likely require. Many thanks 👍

Non-O retirement Visa renewal
Nowaythatsreal replied to Nowaythatsreal's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for this. The reason I went for the 800,000 method is simply that I can wait for the exchange rate to peak in my favour during the year and transfer then. This method seems to work for me especially since WISE often gives you several hours to cancel the transfer. The GBP/THB exchange rate has increased by well over 7% year-on year.
