Australian Tourist Visas
I used the term ’de-facto’. We do not have joint accounts, I got the house built for her 2 years ago (I’m aware it’s not my house - smart ass replies not required). I sent photos of the house - no mortgage, no lease, no joint bank accounts. We’ve been living together in total for around 4 years - continuously since 2022.

Australian Tourist Visas
I have been successful on 3 previous occasions (1st was 3 months, 2nd 12 months and 3rd was 3 years maximum of 12 months) in obtaining Tourist Visas for my partner - we met in 2018. I applied for a new Visa in December and got a refusal, I then reapplied this month answering there concerns about her not returning to Thailand - she has never overstayed any Visa and we got another refusal. Our and her situation has not changed and we got another refusal. Has anyone out there had the same problem??? Or has a fix. I’ve contacted a Thai Visa company and it appears to be too hard for them, so now I’ve got to go through the Appeals Tribunal at a great expense. I’m very pissed with the Australian immigration right now 🤨

Adding VPN to router for internet TV, Netflix etc
Just an option for you to consider. I have the AIS Android streaming box, I downloaded the NordVPN app from the Google Store, once installed I re-visited the Google Store and downloaded all of the Aussie FTA stations eg 9Now, 7Plus etc - works well although 9Now is a bit glitchy at times...

Australian 9Now TV
Hi, I am having an isolated issue accessing an Australian Channel 9 whilst in Thailand. Live streaming ‘9Now’, I can watch ‘Live’ broadcasts on all channel with the exception on Channel 9 - the one channel my TV viewing is glued too. Up until yesterday I could watch Channel 9, albeit with some hassles, on either my Mac, iPhone, Android box or Apple TV, but as of today I cannot watch Channel 9 ‘Live’ other than shows which have been run and are in their library, however, I can watch ‘Live’ TV on all other channels ie Gem, Go!, Rush, Life and Crime on all devices. Go figure….. To go through what I have tried and had no success:- Changed IP by changing Australian locations all the time Changed and tried all Protocols, to no avail Re-booted modem several times Cleared ‘Cache’ (Android Box) many, many times Disconnected Wi-Fi on my iPhone All devices update Automatically The majority (90%+) of my viewing is through the Android Box. Over the last few days I have had trouble watching Channel 9 ‘Live’, I got a work around by utilising the ‘Casting’ or ‘Airplay’ however that is now not possible. On saying that ‘Casting’ was usually OK but ‘Airplay’ was usually a no go. Interested to hear if anyone out there is having the same problems

Multiple entry Visa
Hi there, I have a couple of questions. 1 I am an Australian 2 I am here on a 60 day Tourist Visa, 30 day extension required 3 I fly to Europe in September before the extended Visa expires So far all good, now the questions. I need to apply for a 6 month multiple entry visa to return from the UK to Thailand. Can I apply for the Visa before I depart Thailand - I know my re-entry dates or do I need to apply for the Visa whilst I am overseas. Trusting you understand my problem, any questions please reply

Splitting my time between Thailand & my originating country....
I really appreciate your comments, I think the SETV with 60+30 and doing a border run is a viable and easy option. As you say if 60 days gets canned in the future, I'll do a METV for a relatively small cost 😎. Thanks again, Phil

Splitting my time between Thailand & my originating country....
Sounds like a fairly easy operation. This will help not having to pay outlandish health insurance, plus having to isolate 800,000THB

Splitting my time between Thailand & my originating country....
Just to clarify a few points that have been raised. 1...Taxation neither here or my home country is an issue - I am 70 and well and truly retired 2...I do expect to spend a continuous 6 months (or there abouts) each time in both countries 3...Yes, the health insurance thing is the pits - I would prefer not having the health insurance as I won't be in Thailand for 6 months at a time 4...I reside in the Khon Kaen province in a small village with my partner, she has many family members here in the village I'm interested to hear your opinions. Thanks again for the advice Phil
