  1. it's pretty pathetic, have to wonder if he's paying this forum $$$ to promote his crappy book - wish I had the 5 mins it took to read that tripe back there are hundreds just like it at any book store, dozens right at the airport kiosks
  2. That's wrong, Canada and Thailand and Uruguay are all legal
  3. when I was looking for a place to live last October many of the ads for Pratumnak where I eventually settled said; No Indians, No Chinese, no Russians Good luck with that last one
  4. been noticing it more than ever this year after not visiting The Kingdom for a decade; lack of patience, lack of the famous Thai smile, seeming resentment at everything we do, even those who don't cause issues. There's a very small 2-table restaurant across the street from where I live, pretty much seems to be take-away only, Grab and locals come get the Pad Thai and Fried Rice dinners, at 50b each a great deal - never once got a smile from that lady, not even eye-contact after 5 or 6 orders; there won't be a 7th.
  5. A lady who was known to walk beach road told a similar story - 4 Indian guys offering 500 baht - combined - for some fun
  6. these kinda fights remind me of why I will never have a 'girlfriend' what in hell good does it ever do
  7. Jeeeezh, who could have seen this coming except everyone - so many palms greased by now they can't just put a cork in all this. OR - 'allowing for adaptation' is just code for giving the shops more time to grease the new palms. One gram per day, that's pretty funny - more like 1 gram per hour during waking hours, which, granted is often interrupted by naps. anyway, all stoners who live here have the number or Line of their favorite shops and can stay in touch even if the laws get stricter - could be disruptive for tourists though.
  8. weed smells better than sewers and exhaust fumes walk around Pattaya and certain parts of Bangkok near the Klangs, would you really rather smell human waste or ganja
  9. exactly - go to Soi Bukhao any day, monday or Sunday or Friday, doesn't matter, there are expats and tourists getting absolutely blotted at 11am straight through until 3am - stoners lol, what's the issue, they take naps I smoke weed myself and heard a while back to never walk down the street with it, so I do it discreetly and quietly or in my apartment. This genie is out of the bottle, some Thai's may want it put back in but that's impossible now, too many palms have been properly greased - medical licenses not much different than similar scams in the states, pay some pop-up Doc shop X amount of dollars, get the license
  10. Calling there today, will keep you posted; I also need to secure a ride or rent a car to go up to BKK - Thank you
  11. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2025/03/31/how-truth-social-and-crypto-helped-donald-trump-double-his-fortune-in-just-one-year/ doubled his fortune in ONE year - from suckers just like you His salary is what, 400 grand - yawwwnn, his crypto scam makes that in a few seconds, get real Maga Hard to believe the brainwashing continues at such a late date, there's so much Info out there that only the dumbest of the dumb people still like this freak, like this cretin right here - omg he's donating 1.6 million!!! That's less than .001% of what he has made JUST THIS YEAR Why not donate a billion?? He has it, why not spend it on Americans lol because he hates his loser base, they are trash and he knows it
  12. OK, just back from BKK-Pattaya, spoke to my Doc there, here's the official deal from him; I need 3 procedures - the ESWL is up to me, 'elective' at whenever I want it. Each side is 220-250K baht He says I need Holium Laser treatment to break up the largest stone, as he's concerned it will block the urethra soon. That procedure is also in the 220-250K range and he says he can NOT do the lithotripsy for that side at the same time - totally different procedure. He says the largest one *needs* to come out, but that's assuming I am in pain - I am not, if it had dropped into the urinary tract it seems the URSL is necessary. Attached description of the first procedure. Renting a car and heading to Siriraj next week, see what they say. Thanks a lot for your advice - it's crazy to think the price in Pattaya would be around 140% more for the same procedure. Billing told me when I had the ESWL in 2012 it cost me 90K baht - I get inflation, but 240K from 90k? Nothing else around here has risen so dramatically in 13 years. They want a 190K deposit before starting.
  13. why so much stone formation, who knows - 20 certainly isn't normal. Only around 9% of people from both sexes get Kidney stones, could be because not enough water but that seems crazy; I work out several times a week and drink copious amounts of water all day, have for years. No booze at all, no beer, some salt, soda and energy drinks but no more than the average human does. I could go to BKK, you mentioned Siriraj and I used to live not far from there - but you also sent a link to another hospital with the 99K lithotripsy, which one would you think could treat this better. Thankfully no pain at all, but waiting too long would change that of course
  14. I agree 100%, although as I said earlier this is THEIR country and for me to not know Thai is my issue, not theirs. With that said, I swear I asked the nurses that work with Dr. Jimmy, is this for all three operations? 'yes' - do I need 2 or 3 procedures? 'Yes' - is this the total cost for all 3? 'yes' - essentially, nowhere. The billing office wasn't much better. The Doc spoke great english, but he just shook his head like he couldn't believe it when I said there was no pain, and that I needed the procedures done right away. Thankfully still no pain, but I have a dutch friend who has one large stone slip into his urethra and said the pain was beyond belief
