  1. In other news Thais IN Sydney shocked that a small serve of steamed Mali rice at a restaurant costs $7 or 175 baht, 17 times the price of in Bangkok. And a fish?
  2. Murder needs intent. if a drunk driver deliberately killed someone it would be murder. Accidents happen. More road deaths are caused by sober people.
  3. Sounds like he is a capable drink driver. Unfortunately laws are brought in for the ones who cause problems as then everyone is supposed to follow those laws whether it makes sense individually or not. Eg. Weed was banned for everyone because 2% of the population can not handle weed. Speed humps on the road are everywhere because a small percentage of people will not slow down in built up areas but the speed humps annoy everyone. It is unfortunate. The bigger the city the more rules you need to follow.
  4. The Thai women are the big draw. You have one right?
  5. Pattaya is for the budget conscious. Food, sex, transport all cheaper. Phuket is for those who want something a bit better, generally cleaner and better air quality, less piles of garbage. Both are good. If they both cost the same, Phuket would win, a whole tropical island versus Jomtien to Nakluea.
  6. Wowser is a bit like a born again Christian. Pathetic
  7. They are popular with kids who come from broken homes.
  8. As usual the anti everything successful Thailand does muppets are out knocking Thailand. The TAT have been incredibly successful over the last 4 decades creating millions jobs for Thais as well as Burmese, Cambodians, Laotions and Phillipinos. An estimated 14, 000 Thai families are now USD millionaires from the tourist sector. Thailand is number one in the world. https://www.benoitproperties.com/news/bangkok-crowned-worlds-most-visited-city-in-2023-by-mastercard/ Thailand's capital was travellers' favourite city in 2023, raking in 22.78 million international visitors. It was joined by Phuket and Pattaya at the top of the leaderboard. Suck it up.
  9. A smiling beautiful girl with the face of an angel with hair like silk in a very short skirt presented icy cold beers to me, then gave me a rub and invited me upstairs to make sweet passionate love.
  10. Because Laos is a communist country and your second choice of countries to live in. With no beach, little English, bad infrastructure etc. You really struggle with life in Thailand, it would amuse me to see you in communist Laos.
  11. I have never been affected by this law. Hundreds of beer bars, resorts, restaurants, shops all selling booze between 2 and 5 pm. Gives something to Bob to complain about though.
  12. I came across a Pattaya bargirl who had a “w” on each ass cheek. I asked her what it meant. She proceeded to spread them leaving me saying “WoW”
  13. Good to see the government tackling this issue.
  14. Tomorrow will be hot and humid
  15. I came for the warm weather and the cheap sex with short supermodels.
  16. Since living here I have been a bit shocked by all the pretty girls getting tattoos. New tattoos can look ok on some women sometimes but they don’t stay new for long. For a one night stand they are ok, but I wouldn’t want my girlfriend to have any. Looks a bit slutty in my opinion.
  17. Nothing more refreshing than a Soapy massage with a young lady to cool you down in the middle of the day to escape that Bangkok heat.
  18. I felt a local on my first night ever here. Straight off the plane at Dan Mueang, into a taxi and down to Soi 6 in Pattaya before I even checked in. Felt quite a few locals since then.
  19. I call BS on that one. Overall stabbing would be way down if everyone was stoned. Maybe what you are claiming might have happened once or twice, not a lot. If people don’t like weed nobody is forcing them to smoke it, they should mind their own business.
  20. They do it for their descendants to become wealthy. About 40 years ago a farang came over to Thailand and dug up an old canal in Bangkok. He found old plates, and other “artefacts” that sold for a lot of money. The Thais just thought it was just rubbish that was discarded but now the farangs are getting and paying high prices for what they considered rubbish. That M150 bottle and Lays crisps wrapppers will be worth a lot of money one day. Smart people.
  21. Just following the teachings of the Buddha mate.
  22. The negative stereotypes come because while every country has hookers, but in most countries the customers do not have the opportunity to marry them. The Thais take it to another level and hookers marrying foreigners is very common.
  23. Says the bloke who whines and complains endlessly about things that would be a minor issue for real men
