Yes everyone is rushing for it. At some point they'll want to close the door and they might stop issuing them. They probably have some sort of quota or something. I highly doubt they reduce its validity tho as it would be a very bad signal sent and received.

You're probably talking about those job such as delivering food, taxis, cooking pad thai, maid or special massage? What an opportunity for the locals indeed! Such a big change from now.

There's no cons if your agent is serious. As the online reporting never worked for me and I'm too lazy to go Chaengwattana to wait in line for a few hours I use an agent that does the report for me and everything works well. Bonus is I don't even have to get out of my home to bring them my passport, the agent come to pick it up / give it back directly.
