Thailand Updates Visa Rules for Economic Revival
"In the medium term, the Ministry plans to revise long-stay visa criteria for retirees to attract expats who can support sectors like real estate and health tourism. Efforts to streamline existing visas are ongoing, reducing 17 visa codes to seven, set to be fully implemented by August 31" HERE WE GO AGAIN, THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL, EITHER BUY UP BIG ON A CONDO OR INVESTMENTS OR THE LESS RICH RETIREES WILL BE TOLD TO LEAVE.. I THINK THE O VISAS LOOK VERY VULNERABLE NOW EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE THE MOST POPULAR, THEY DO NOT SQEEZE ENOUGH CAPITAL OUT OF RETIREES..

Thai Tourism Targets Big Spenders with Luxury Focus
To do this they would need to control the dog population & monkey attàcks and rabies potential, not have horses <deleted>ting all over beaches ( Huahin ) , have adequate food safety laws to combat food poisoning ( eg. Dogs not in restaurants or kitchens , cooking oils changed at least twice a week , hot water to wash dishes etc. ) , recognise pedestrians and road crossings , no dual over pricing for westerners , language difficulties that become irritating , the actual cleaning of public amenities & beach chairs ect. This is only a small amount of factors that would irritate upper classes , that would tend to never return , and keep holidaying in european countries...

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc
Good to hear some common sense...an American i know who had being paying out big money to his thai girl friend, ridiculed the thai couple living next door in the housing estate for their cheap car they had...a month later the thai couple bought a Bentley , and that certainly put the loud mouth yank back in his place...

Thailand Criticized Over BBC's "Dark Side" Documentary
So how about the dark side of the UK , the knife capital of the world London, & their ridiculous immigration problems...and the fact they could never colonise Thailand , or any other country could for that matter...

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc
I find your ideas a little bit vague as for the fact you actually live in Patong & only witness the dregs of tourist thailand & tend to apply this to the values of all thai people, as there are actually a huge amount of rich & educated thai people & not just the ones you have chosen, to live in an area that a majority would be from issan who are only farm girls trying to provide for their families...the mindset i was talking about has nothing to do with a thai lady's bank balance & is a cultural ingrown idea that they should follow & nuture their husbands, to walk behind behind their husbands, to respect their partners decisions which, as I said was completely the opposite of western womens mindset...it was explained to me once as '( an Asian lady views her husband as a large tree who she has to take care of and feed and will therefore produce fruit, being the children') this is the mindset... A lot of thai women will accept older foreign men as husbands for security in life, and the fact thai men treat them badly, drink too much thai whiskey, beat them and not financialy support them when a child is involved, and cheat on them, so an older foreign husband is really a popular choice.. As for my wife she was very poor when she was young, but worked her way out of a hopeless situation, firstly by selling food on the roadside at 12 years old. She entered a temple at 17, and headshaved, studied Bhudist religion for 2 years.. She then became a live in housekeeper & childminder... She began selling things at the thai markets, opened 2 clothes shops, then a successful restaurant in Bangkok for 12 years, bought her own land, built a house, bought a new car, and all of this as a single parent, because, her partner left her as thai men often do... Since I met her she has always put me first, she cooks, cleans, maintains a casual job in my country, massages me , cuts my finger & tow nails, is always happy and follows my decisions, and tries to improve herself by studying English for the last 4 years, and has made many friends in both our countries, and we visit Thailand for 5-6 months every year.. I think you should look a bit further than the streets & bars of Pattaya and maybe not judge every book by the same cover...

Would you prefer the knife capital of the world London...

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc
Why do you think Western men prefer Asian women ?? Simple, they don't have the mindset of Western women, and thai women treat you a hell of a lot better...thats why I married one 10 years ago and she still says she loves me almost every night

I agree 100 %...BBC are the same as ABC , politically motivated and bias..

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc
What are you actually doing in thailand with a depraved, racist comment like that ? You sound like your suffering some sort of mental health episode...is that why your here, your past country will not accept you, or are they hunting for you ?? You sound like the type of person this documentary was made for, but you are still living here, treating Thais like <deleted> in their own country.. ??

Foreigners rally against BBC's ‘Thailand: the dark side’ doc
That's because when most Brits get to thailand they become complete drunken arsholes and offend the thai people, they come with their g strings & boobs hanging out and show no respect for local thai tradition or culture ...they go to tourist thailand ( pattaya & phukett etc. ) and think they witness the real enigma of thailand & spending most of their holidays in bars & discos...thailand has never been colonised, thank God for that..

There is a solution.. put your own banking limits and change them online when needed.. dual authentication where you get an email code to complete transactions... passwords containing letters, numbers, special characters combined... Thailand Shuts 1,000 Cannabis Shops in Sweeping Crackdown
To change laws, due process needs to be followed through votes in parliament, & permits fees should be reinbersed...

Thailand Shuts 1,000 Cannabis Shops in Sweeping Crackdown
Think you'll find that rather than risk giving back the paid license fees or a class action there in...this will be the strategy, even if the rules are followed, but what about the financial losses, and what of all that seized cannaboid, let alone the legality of the whole change of policy...

Thaksin's EV Tax Plan to Shield Thai Auto Industry
Thaksin is irrelevent & the PM is only a caretaker, yet there is no rush whatsoever to find a worthy leader that the people should have voted for.. The country is in disarray & needs competant management & all the old foggys in parliament, who have been there for years need to go so fresh ideas & direction is found, as this is where most of the problems are created... Not so long ago the people voted in a competant young man but parliament would not accept him, and he was banished from politics... Since then 2 more contenders have fallen, and this will continue as long as there are so many back stabbers & jealousy involved.. And the thai people will be the ones to suffer...
