I read the daily anouncements from 'Asean Now Daily News'.All seems bad ref foreigners killed or scamed in Bangcok and Phuket. Been Thailand many times and never been above places (except hotel at airport), but travel north to places in the countryside. Never had any issues and people are lovely. Moral is, if you go to places where you know there are problems then expect the worse, or avid them.......... It aint rocket science And yes, RIP, it is wrong this happened

Seems hard tobeleive. I was recently in Thai for months. The x husband of the woman I was seeing hit heron the side of the head - prompley knocked him out -I am x Army..... Later he came to the house and kicked the front door in. I told her to call the police while I blocked his entry. The police were very understang and thanked me for protecting a thai woman. They arrested him and gave him an exclusion order. Moral of story, be nice to them, folllow their culture and they will shake your hand
