Hello, everyone! I am about to re-enter Thailand with new passport and the old expired passport that's linked to my DTV e-visa. How many of you have done that already? I saw a report of someone being stamped for visa exempt instead because the IO was insisting the new passport number is not linked to the DTV visa. Hopefully, it was just a one time IO mistake. Thank you!

Yeah you may be right. Who knows if they'd actually open it. But I hope you have a luck with it! Definitely bring your wife! Mine did all the talking. Sent emails to 3 law firms too btw. All 3 responded to me that they can definitely assist me with opening an account on non-o visa. Siam asked me if I have a lease on my name first. I said yes. Then they told me they can assist me opening an account.

Yeah we told her that for now I have DTV but after it expires we will be switching to non-o marriage visa and that we've heard there are new requirements. She said that there are no new requirements and told me that these are all the documents she needs from us. And that these will be send to the head office for approval. We were not turned back or told that we will need non-b.

Just checked Krungsri at EmQuartier for curiosity today. Went with my wife. They said they can open a bank account for me when I have non-o. They told me that the requirements didn't change. They will just have to send my documents to the head office. Requested documents: Non-o visa Certificate of marriage Lease Passport Didn't even ask me for COR. I am still on DTV so who knows if they will really open it for me on non-o but the girl didn't give any indications that it will be a problem.

This is crazy. They should either remove the requirement for the money to be in a Thai bank or sync with them on the requirements. How would anyone extend on non-o visa?

That doesn't make sense. The non-o visa is for 90 days. How can you have a bank account open and money in it for 90 days before extension? Is that new requirement for second extension?

Thank you, Tod! I have the e-visa. My main worry is the air carrier and how they are gonna react when I show them both passports and the visa for the old one.

Hey everyone! My old passport that is on the DTV e-visa is about to expire and I have to renew it. I will have both the old and the new passport. I know I need to carry both now when entering Thailand. There was a guy who got denied boarding by Emirates because the visa is for his old passport. Does anyone have experience traveling with old and new passport where the visa is for your old passport? Did you ever had issues boarding? Thank you!

Well, here's one from the FB group from today. Take these with a grain of salt tho. Even if it's true, it's not that common. I've only entered twice on DTV so far so idk if it will be different with next entries.

The problem is a lot of sources say that you need to complete at least one 90-day report at the place where you are staying to be able to get Certificate of residence. So by that logic there's no way to get certificate of residence if you just landed on type-O visa as you gonna need to start the process of opening a bank account asap.

Wait, how does someone that's in Thailand for just 90 days and they need to extend their non-o imm visa gets certificate of residence or a yellow book? Don't you need 90 days in Thailand at least for that? So, how is even possible to open a bank account for your first extension and the 400k deposit?

Hi, everyone! Anyone with experience updating the passport number on their Khor Ror 2. Is it gonna be a problem when I apply for extension based on marriage if Khor Ror 2 has my old passport number. If yes, what's the procedure to update it? Thank you so much!

You can't transfer an e-visa. You will need to carry both passports.

A post on the FB group claiming people arriving with DTV visas were pulled aside by IOs at Chiang Mai. And apparently someone confirming it Did any of you guys re-entered on DTV recently? Any issues?

Hi, everyone! Did any of you already re-entered with DTV visa? I spent 170 days in Thailand already and I am thinking about visiting Vietnam for a week and coming back. Will there be issue? Do the immigration officers asking for any additional document on re-entering? Thank you so much!
