Based on the CCTV pics it shouldn't be hard to track him down and issue the fine. If they can't locate him on the ground IM can hand him over to police who can hold long enough for the IM to charge him for overstay

I live near by and cross the soi daily. There are no sidewalks and on a long stretch there are no buildings and overhanging trees make foot traffic very difficult to spot. -
I had a chat about condo insurance with the insurance agent while doing other business there and damage from smoke, watet etc to other condoes rest upon the owner. Donno about liability for tennants but would assume any damage are their responsibility; how settlement works is a whole different story

Well, for me, 175K Baht the family could have lost is a serious amount that for sure would ruin much more than a holiday trip but if we are talking 450 Baht for a night in a hostel I would have done the same -

Same happended to me in Cape Town but cant recall Booking.com's T&C in detail. Believe, in order to be guaranteed refund, irregularities must be handled by their customer service which can be both costly and time consuming.
