  1. Forgot to say that currently we are in Chon Buri and so looking at someone Pattaya based
  2. Please can anyone assist us? My Thai Wife to whom Ive been married to now almost 3 years got turned down on her Visa app to NZ for a partner visa because she (we) failed to establish a strong enough case for a secure / stable relationship. We only have 7 weeks before we have to fly, and I'm concerned enough to think we need the help from an Immigration Advisor. Not sure who to contact, can anyone point us in the direction of a good value person / company? Thanks Mark
  3. Please can you outline the requirements for the renewal procedure please? My passport has only about 3 months remaining.
  4. Can you get agents to acquire DTV visas?
  5. Hmm, thanks for the info, looks like the criteria has changed significantly since I last looked about 2 years ago! Then I believe the requirement was only 800k not 3 million! My money is all tied up in shares, so difficult to liquidate if I need to show wealth! What sort of money would an agent be looking at to help me acquire do you think please? And to the other response I had (thank you to both!) no I don't have Thai income only overseas.
  6. Now I've hit 65 I'm eligible for my NZ pension, but have to spend 26 a weeks a year in NZ to be eligible, however, if I do this then at least I avoid the necessity of doing a tax return for Thailand where I've been living the past 3 years! My question is this, I have dual nationality (UK + NZ) and I'm thinking that a retirement visa would be a good idea ( I have been doing a marriage visa extension up to now, but as I'm only going to be in Thailand for 24 weeks a year, seems a bit pointless). Thailand offers a 5 year retirement visa to British citizens but only 12 months to NZ. However my income is from NZ and I wanted to know if I apply from the UK for a Retirement visa will I be able to use my NZ income? I can show an income of over 65K baht a month going into my NZ bank. Is this likely to be permissible does any one know please?
  7. Hi Just wondering if someone out there can point me in the best direction please. I have been in Thailand for a few years on a Marriage extension visa, but now I have hit 65 I've been told that I have to spend 26 weeks a year back in NZ to be eligible. I think a retirement visa would now be more beneficial. As I also hold my old UK passport I have thought that this might be the best one to use because it will allow a 5 year visa? However, I have lived for 20 years in NZ and my income is there. Is this going to be a problem please?
  8. Hello fellow Kiwis. Can anyone please help me with my pension query? I am 65 in August and living in Thailand the past 3 years. I have looked at the pension registration form and it looks like I have to go back to submit required paperwork? How much deduction should I expect to have for being overseas more than the allowed 26 weeks and being based in Thailand? Should I tell them, perhaps it's best to keep stum? Any advise / heads-up much appreciated Cheers
  9. I transfer money every into my wife's bank account, is that going to be a problem?
  10. Does that mean the government has no proper record of when people left / returned to the Kingdom? Handy for avoiding the 180-day tax rule if so!
  11. Does anyone know if the tax figures Thailand will use are going to based on honesty, or will there be requests to the country of origin for the individual's income tax figures?
  12. Do others find comments like this just so constructive?
  13. It appears that this is the new government initiative. The Embassies are following suite.
  14. Does anyone use an esim as there regular data connection? I have found only 1 company (KKDAY) who sell them, nothing on Lazada. Would really like to find out more! Cheers
