  1. If you are moving somewhere, buy in the local shop - always nice to go somewhere and have them fix up your bike for almost free : -) They can order from WorldBike in Bangkok (or other distributors), and they ship it to the shop, and the price will be about same as in Bangkok, best way to do it.

  2. It seems to me that some Norwegian citizens are unable to conduct themselves in a civilised manner due to the easy and inexpensive availability of sex and alcohol.

Yeah? 30 dead while having sex ... give us some stats about the numbers of US, UK, Germans and the rest compared to the total entering the Kingdom, then we'll get a ratio which is compareable. :-) But what is the great loss anyway, except this f*** who should be paid to train the police force, the rest of them dies ... don't really see a problem, their time was up - easy as that, a happy ending as well.

  3. has anybody got any ideas as to where she can get there tickets from in bkk be it a travel agent or at the airport, shes looking to fly with thai.
Not much scope for ideas if she wants to fly with Thai. :o You can book them for her on the Thai Airways website

or she could walk into anyone of the Thai Airways offices in Bangkok. Locate them on the web site by 'contact us'

It never has, and it never will be a good idea to book your ticket with the airline directly. You'll get a much better price booking through an agent, i.e. the best online-offer from Thai is 11k THB more than the current agent msp price ...

  4. Sure, there are always fools buying stuff, hence Sunbelts businessidea, most restaurants, shops e.g. sold through them are bankrupt within months. The thing is, never look at such listings if you dont know what you are doing...cause its just a place where they add some spice to existing garabage which is going down anyhow.

Get a location and start from scratch, best advice you can get.

  5. The visa officer at the US embassy we saw today when my wife was interviewed said he didnt know about aussie passports and I will need to contact the Oz embassy (which is why we went there after leaving the Us embassy) He also just told me to get a US visa to be safe.

.-) They know how to police the world, but to answer silly questions about passports is to hard for them ... shocker.

  6. Hi,

Yesterday i was attempting to book tickets on the Airasia web page travelling Bkk/Hanoi,however they are looking for passport numbers. Now that is fine for everyone but me as i need to renew my Irish passport which could take at least 2 weeks.Being a tad impatient i would like to book now particuarly as i am being offered good prices. So does anyone know if perhaps i could book using my present passport number and then inform them of my new number when i recieve it.Im not travelling until June BTW.Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

no problem. air asia has no system whatsoever anyway so they wouldnt figure out anyway : -) just be prepared for delays and strict weight control on your luggage.

  7. I think its about 500 B per head, goes from riverside resturant.

But i heard you have the meal while tied up outside the resturant then go for a cruise, havnt done it myself tho'.

You pay 80 or 90 baht a head for the cruise, and normal prices from the menu, the food will be served during the cruise or before, per request.
