  1. Pacific Cross, in Patient only, 40.000 deductible, 3 Mio insured, 41.000 per year. 62 years old. Valid only in Thailand. Never claimed anything as they give nice discounts, 10%, 15%, 20% if no claim. A sickness does not have a fixed price, eg a stroke with 2 weeks ICU will cost 3 Mio if you are insured up to 3 Mio. Should you have a "better" insurance, say 20 Mio the same thing will cost 18 Mio. If you have only 500.000 a government hospital will do it for that.
  2. Yes. Thanks at all, i forwarded everything. Its a happy new expat versus the Thai bureaucracy. Lets see how we go 🙂
  3. Thanks, i told him that. He should have started much earlier...
  4. Jack, to fill up your queue of questions: On top of this negligence for his own Visa he has a filipina girlfriend, and, being much under 50 years old - how to proceed? Get an EDU Visa? Send her back and forth, how long will that work? Marry?! Sorry, a lot of questions..
  5. Yes, he stays in BKK but came to Pattaya, more easy. Next question: If he opens a bank account here can he get the account statement at any branch of BKK Bank?! Would need it for EOS. He knows about the minimum of 30 days/BKK Bank for opening an account. That wont work, so maybe first extend 30 more days. Don't ask why he didn't do that right away, it might be the happiness of getting out, which i fully understand 🙂
  6. Correct, you show up with both passports, fill an easy form, copy Face and last Visa extension and they transfer all to the new one.
  7. Thank you DrJack54, i ask this for a friend, fortunately not my problem. He came with 60 days and has now 2 weeks left and no bank account yet. Well.. I want him to get out of the agent mill, once you start with them immigration does not want to see you without an agent....
  8. That is the cheapest way to do it correctly and costs only 2.000 Baht. So, do we need the 800 K only when we want to extend or already at the first switch?
  9. There is now a discussion about anti tumor capabilities of this drug, interesting. Several cases were reported, actually quite a lot, that it helped in final cancer diagnosis. Nothing to lose?! Try it and report back here.
  10. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006851037102.html?pdp_npi=3%40dis!USD!!US+%240.99!!!!!%40213bce9317181717058702427ec717!12000038512790160!im!! Was 93 Baht, then 160, now 140 You get 100 tablets, each 5 mg. Cheap.
  11. 90 day report = 90 seconds if you come at 15:30.
  12. Wise can only transfer Baht to you when a counterpart, a Thai, has deposited the fitting amount. Thats why, when you send 50.000 Euro its just not there and u have to wait for the banks to go through.
  13. Dropped my kid of early at school and on the way back i was hit by an elderly lady, small damage, needed some body work. Both insurance agent arrived (relatively) early and decided it was both parties fault. Ok. I was too fast, true. From then on it went smooth as silk, constant SMS, a recommended garage and so forth. This garage was busy but eventually the whole thing was done in about three weeks. First ordering parts and such... So, it was a good experience altogether. I just got the bill for next year and it did not go up, i expected a rise as is stated in their small print, but no. There aren't many Roojai stories on AN yet, so take it with a grain of salt.
  14. The Photo thing is a strain on the brain. Before you could transfer any amount (up to 2 Mio i think) as long as the recipient was the same bank. Because the money is still in their hands... But now, even from one BKK Bank account to another BKK account they want to compare the pics. If over 50K, of course
