  1. I have the funds in an online savings account, enough to cover the £18K. Would downloading a PDF statement be ok ? I have to ask the bank to send paper copy and then take photo of it ? thanks
  2. Appreciate everyone's help with this... I got a little confused by the off topic conversation about getting married lol
  3. ok thanks, that's as I expected. I presume a statement from a savings account would be sufficient ?
  4. Understood... thanks This is what's shown on the "supporting documents point 4", "4 . Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB or having the current balance of 800,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings " 😕
  5. This is great, thanks for the info, I was concerned about not having a return ticket as the I've heard at the UK airport they might raise this as an issue. Just to clarify regarding the eVisa non O in UK, I do need to show UK bank statement with the 800K Baht ? can this be a savings account ?
  6. Ah, no i don't, I might be doing something wrong , I didn't think you required a Thai bank account for the initial 3 month visa when applying online ? I thought it was just your current/recent earnings in the UK
  7. Hi, I'm in the process of being made redundant, my last day in employment will be end of February. I plan to retire to Bangkok, and travel there straight after I leave work. I'm looking at the E visa Non O application, and have a couple of questions Will I need to have booked a return/onward flight leaving within the initial 90 days ? even though I plan to stay and apply for the 1 year extension... Proof of earnings or proof of 800K Baht in bank. Can this be one of the savings accounts, and is a photo or electronic copy of screen shot adequate ? Proof of address in UK, is photo of driving license ok for this ? many thanks
  8. fyi - noticed this on the link you sent "!! limited Arrival Fast Track service at BKK Airport!!: until the end of 2024, the standard Arrival service cannot be provided in the usual way, as we are not able to collect passengers at the arrival gate due to the ongoing reorganization. Passenger will need to proceed to another gate to meet our staff whom will then arrange passage through VIP Fast Track area. Bookings that include golfcart service CAN be provided as usual, as can the departure service."
  9. I was thinking of using this as it's my 3rd visit in 6 months, each visit was 15 nights. So I thought this might help in case there are any concerns with the IO when going through....
  10. Hi all Has anyone used this passport service AQ.in.th? Any feedback, I would be grateful. Thanks
  11. thanks...they want 33,000 BAHT to do that...lol
  12. That's good advise appreciate it. Will I be able to still get a condo etc without an account ? that was one reason I was looking to get account first, also thought it would be good to start the 2 month process of having the funds in the account early...
  13. I'm from the UK, and yes you're right that would probably be the best option. My only issue is I'm unsure of the dates when I'll be settling down. This short visit is just a holiday, and I'll probably get the Non O extension next year in Q1 which might be longer than 90 days from when I arrive on the holiday.
  14. thanks, I contacted them, but was told this now has to be done in Pattaya.
  15. Apologies I should have mentioned, I'm going to be on a visa exemption for my initial trip, and return early next year to get a retirement visa etc. So I guess the tricky bit is getting the account when on a exemption visa and staying in a hotel. Yes, I do have spare cash.
  16. Hi all, Could anyone recommend an agent to assist in setting up a bank account in Bangkok please ? I have a couple but they're asking for 20K Baht upwards. I know this can be done in Pattaya for around 5K Baht. I don't mind travelling to Pattaya, but Bangkok agent would be far more convenient. Also I have PM'd @ianguygil but he appears to be away for an extended period. many thanks
  17. It looks as though Ian might be taking a well deserved break, he's not be on the forum since early September, so might have to find another route for getting bank account in Bangkok.
  18. Thanks for this, I'm also trying to contact Ian, and have sent a PM.
