My provider = the company that provided the solar system. I have just received the digital meter to feed in excess energy into the grid and was planning to install ~11 KWh battery capacity in addition to cover most of the the consumption at night and especially during peak hours. However, the provider informed me that PEA very recently issued a regulation that batteries are considered to be "generators" and thus not allowed to be installed, if a contract exists to feed into the grid. He mentioned that the PEA has the right to visit at any time and do an "audit", where they might find out that batteries have been installed. Currently it seems that I might (without battery storage and usage) produce 9 - 10 MW excess per year, but I also heard that PEA only accepts 5 MW annually. This seems to be all a big nonsense, but TiT and that is why I ask if somebody else has experience with having a fee-in grid contract with PEA and having batteries installed as well.

I hear that PEA do not allow to feed in surplus solar generated power into the grid if one has batteries? I have a 10 kWh system and just got my contract to feed-in energy and was planning to buy some batteries, but the provider says that is no longer allowed by the PEA. Anybody else heard about this? What another nonsense if that is true.
