If you’ve dealt with Thai financial institutions, you’ll know they like to give you a blank form and then fill in the Thai parts themselves. It’s as informal as most processes you’ll come across here. falangs like us can only trust them and go along with it. Unless you plan to close your account or leave, there’s not much else can do.

I went to a branch today with the email and my passport (non-U.S.). The lady at the counter checked something on the computer and then printed out the first form. Without filling out anything, she asked me to sign my name. After that, she said, “All done.”
