Sly I gotta ask, if you don't attend these weekend seminars, what are the consequences apart from failing the module, can they revoke your visa based on your attendance? It's obviously a money grab and eats into weekend time which is the only time teachers have away from work, any thoughts?

Do you have to leave on the same day that the visa is cancelled? Or within 24 hours of when the visa is cancelled? I have a 6.20am flight to Laos, there's no way I can cancel that and leave at that time on the same day, immigration offices aren't open at 4am

What would you say is the easiest module to do? 6? Honestly, 7k bhat per module, and having to do all of this rubbish you described, I'll definitely just go home and do my PGCE for a year to cut through all this BS. Thanks for that response, I will have to cancel my visa as I'm on a one year Non-B, my school said they will do it for me on the day I do the border run, I'm planning to go to Laos, but can I get a returning flight on the same day and come back with a tourist visa? I think somethings are going to go horribly wrong lol.

I'm changing schools, and I heard that you have to give back your work permit and your visa gets cancelled at the end of your employment, forcing you to leave and reenter, however: My year visa is stamped in my passport, so how exactly can they cancel that? Can i just not turn up to immigration and wait for my new visa with next employer?

Just got feedback from my latest interviewer, told me I was a great fit for the school and interview went well, but they've chosen another candidate as she could start work within the next week. So I'm right, I can't get a new job because employers can't wait for 1 month notice periods, I'm screwed basically. I'm just gonna go home next year do my pgce then apply while jobless

I could, they also already know I'm trying to leave however, as I resigned before but quickly cancelled it after I found out the new employer was an illegal company. So IMO they may already be lining someone up without telling me, and will sack me when the new guy's ready. I'm considering the quick walk out too, it's just against my programming, because of the reference consequence as you said, I did my only 2 years of teaching at this school, would be a shame to destroy that reference.

I'm actually sick of this, I've been having interviews and responses from new teaching jobs, they all want you to start immediately, yet at the same time, want you to have years of teaching experience. Every time I tell them I need to do a month's notice, I fail the interview or they ghost me, so they basically want someone who is an experienced teacher, and at the same time, unemployed at the time of applying. I get everything is supply and demand, but Jesus, I'm really starting to consider if I should just quit my job at this point, since no employer seems to be able to hold out for a month. What's your thoughts on this?

Apparantly you need to fill a TM27 and TM30 form, and give it all to immigration within a day of moving? Where can you get these forms from? And what other documents do you need for it? No wonder no properties get back to me cause they don't want the stress of getting documents for immigration on my behalf.
