Lamai even has there own "German street" Soi Lindenstrasse (sp?), which is very busy.
Between the Soi that has the small market every night, and the the larger road that starts opposite the Outback Bar, and runs up to the ring road.

No you actually need a phone line, or are you just after internet?
-
What brand are you using?
Do you buy the same brand every time?
-
May be of help perhaps. Click HERE
The Daily Mail is a blocked site in Thailand so no real help.
It worked for me. In Samui, on 3bb.

I live in Samui, but still check out your posts regularly.

OK I did a forum search to try find where to ask this question! this topic is what came up...
I thought I had read some thing recently on the question I need answered ...
I sold a bike about four years ago, to some Thai friends, (yes got paid) but we never got around to doing the official transfer paper work ...
We went down to Dan Auto just to ask if they could do it ... answer was Yes.... but 1500 baht to do it .... That just seems outrageous ???
Then because the bike is over 5 years old it needs the MOT test (we knew that) ...but all in all the quote was over 2400 baht...
All seems a tad bit high....
Any one have an idea of what the cost would be by going to Lipa Noi.... for both transfer and MOT ?
Nothing like that, cost of MOT. 100/150 baht on a bike.
Transfer costs not much more.
Let me check my records, and ask my staff, and I will update tomorrow.
Probably extra. for the 4 years your " Thai friends " have not paid the yearly tax / insurance, whatever.

So I was just advised that both attackers are due to report to Samui court on September 3rd. I'm unsure what time. This came from a friend at Interpol who are waiting to see if they do infact return. They suspect that the attackers will return as they are receiving a great deal of pressure from their new universities in the States. They are also looking into a new character a Japanese New Zealand girl deeply entwined in their alibi. From the sounds of it - very seriously too. No longer are they just focusing on the two attackers, All three seem to have made an appearance in interpols' hot 100 now. We shall see ! Sounds as though Samui police are plenty busy with this the two other attacks that ended in fatalities and then again another last night I am told ....
No updates.
Obviously, this hasn't happened. It looks like it maybe has been swept under the carpet.

So when does this case go back to court?....does anyone have any info?
Supposedly. Earlier this week however their passports were returned and they were ordered to return to Thailand by September 3rd.
-
Seatran now has a new timetable out. They leave at 8.00 am, 12.30 pm, and 3.30 pm.
Return to Samui 8.00 am, 11.00 am, and 4.30 pm.
^ AngThong I see you beat me to it.

I got one from Fern furniture, which is in Nathon, on the ring road, before you get into the town, coming from Lamai.
They have 2 shops on both sides of the road opposite each other.
It actually has metal legs, and I've had it at least 3 years.

Found a second hand city near tesco lotus. They had a PS3 for 6000bht and it came with a free game. Staff were friendly and demonstrated a working product..
Now where can i buy games?
Sent from my HUAWEI G610-U20 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Was that second hand place near Tesco Chaweng, or Lamai?
-
I'm sure if future guests saw your photos, that they would go elsewhere.
-
Thanks guys, I'm also interested in this.

Lamai. The hardware shop (Pumipat, sp) Next to the new Caltex station across the road from the entrance to Tesco.
There is small lane next to the shop that leads to their timber warehouse/ workshop in the rear.

Thai channels are blocked but the remainder seemed ok (inc BBC/AJ/Fox/Oz news channels) when I last checked 90 mins ago.
HTH
Thank you, I'll give them a ring then.

Sorry Rooo - I was working!
I'm still paying off the loan for my new passport last year. NOW they drop the price. Hah!
Yes, but apparently you now have to go to Bangkok to apply for a new passport, and back again to receive it.
Is that correct?
-
I think Samui Deep Well, has a testing service.
-
Yes it is straightforward to get to Samui.
Online notification of residence of foreigners for businesses

Until recently I could go online at https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/ and notify immigration of guests staying at the resort I manage.
For a while I have not been able to do this.
Has anyone else been able/unable to do this lately, or may it be connected to the attack on Thai govt websites last month?
I have tried on to 2 different computers, with different IPs and different browsers.
